The Seattle Seahawks (6-10) will look to play spoiler on the road in Arizona against the Cardinals (11-5) in an NFC West matchup. Kickoff is scheduled for Sunday at 1:25 P.M. PST at State Farm Stadium.
The Seahawks have endured a tough regular season without question. However, the Cardinals currently trail the Rams by one game in the division and need to win on Sunday to have any shot at winning the NFC West. Seattle would love nothing more than to spoil that opportunity for their rivals in Arizona.
The Cardinals are fresh off of a victory against the Cowboys. While they have a Wild Card spot wrapped up, Arizona would prefer to win the division instead. But they need a win and a Rams loss to make that a possibility.
As the NFL season winds down, there is plenty of exciting football on the docket for Sunday. This game should be no different.
Seahawks at Cardinals Betting Preview
Seattle Seahawks Preview: Finish Strong
The Seahawks have been successful for a long time under head coach Pete Carroll and with Russell Wilson at quarterback. But the 2021 campaign finally saw them fail to achieve success, and they will finish with a losing record. Nonetheless, this is still a team with some talent, and they are more than capable of upsetting the odds.
The main area where Seattle has been almost impossible to figure out is on the defensive side of the ball. They rank 10th overall in points allowed per game with a mark of 21. But on the other hand, the Seahawks allow just over 383 total yards per contest which places 30th in the NFL.
Despite allowing a plethora of yards, the Seahawks are still able to limit opposing offenses from scoring a lot of points.
Seattle is 17th in points per game on offense. Russell Wilson was up-and-down during an injury-plagued campaign. The veteran quarterback has thrown for 2,875 yards to go along with 22 touchdowns and five interceptions.
There is a legitimate chance that this is the final game for Wilson in a Seahawk uniform, as he may be moved this offseason.
While Arizona are the favorite in this game, one can expect a hard-fought effort from Seattle in their final game of the year.
Arizona Cardinals Preview: Don’t Take Seattle for Granted
The Cardinals started out the season as one of the best teams in football. But then they hit a rough patch and fell out of first place in the NFC West. After scuffling for a bit, Arizona bounced back nicely with a victory over the talented Dallas Cowboys a week ago.
Kyler Murray had a quality game as the QB threw for 263 yards on 26-38 passing and two touchdowns. The Cardinal defense was able to hold strong and limit a strong Cowboy offensive attack as well.
The Cardinals understand that it will not be easy to catch Los Angeles for the division lead. The Rams play the 49ers on Sunday at home. However, San Francisco has gone 5-0 against the Rams over the course of the past five meetings between the teams.
But Arizona needs to take care of business on their field as well. And the Seahawks are not a team to take for granted. Even in a lost season that has seen Seattle labor throughout, the team was still able to win six games.
But the Cardinals have dealt with the Seahawks for a long time, and they know that they are an opponent worth taking seriously regardless of the circumstances. Expect the Cardinals to attack early in an effort to establish an early lead in this game.
Who to Bet on Seahawks at Cardinals
As aforementioned, the Cardinals are the favorites in this matchup. But as we also talked about, Seattle is more than liable to upset the odds.
I am expecting a competitive game throughout. The Seahawks are going to give Arizona all they can handle. But in the end, Arizona should be able to emerge victorious at home in this game.
Take the Arizona Cardinals -5.5 at home.
