Kansas City, Super Bowl Favorite Ahead of Training Camp
NFL training camps are still a few weeks away, yet it’s never too early to tackle Super Bowl odds. The two-time defending champion Kansas City Chiefs opened as slight +550 favorites, with the San Francisco 49ers a close second at +600.
No team has ever won three straight Super Bowls, however, the Chiefs stand a realistic shot at making history. With Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes, they have the best head coach/quarterback tandem in the league.

Training Camp: Super Bowl 59 Betting Analysis
The Chiefs? A favorite? Well, what else did you expect?
So long as Mahomes is healthy, they’ll remain the NFL’s team to beat.
Four other teams are 13/1 or better. Three of them made the Divisional Round (Cincinnati missed the playoffs after losing star quarterback Joe Burrow to a season-ending wrist injury).
At +600, San Francisco is the biggest favorite outside Kansas City. The 49ers are seeking to become the first team since the 2017-18 Patriots to win the Super Bowl after losing it the year prior.
Baltimore, which finished with the AFC’s best record last season, is the only other team with better than 10/1 odds in our Super Bowl odds training camp update.

When Super Bowl 58 odds opened following Kansas City’s 38–35 victory over Philadelphia in Arizona, they were +600 favorites to repeat. That was hardly surprising, of course, as almost every team is favored to defend its title after winning the Super Bowl.
The Chiefs, as fate, would have it, cashed in on expectations and became the first team to win back-to-back Super Bowls since the Patriots in Super Bowl XXXVIII and XXXIX. They were the eighth different NFL franchise to repeat, including Pittsburgh, which has done it twice.
Super Bowl 58 closed with the 49ers consensus 2-point NFL public betting favorites over the Chiefs, and the Over/Under at 47.5 at most sportsbooks.
Favorites are now 28-27-2 ATS in the Super Bowl, with one matchup having closed as a pick ‘em. Meanwhile, Super Bowl winners have managed to cover in 49 of the 58 instances.
Be sure to keep that in mind when making your NFL picks and parlays.

Super Bowl 59 Betting Pick
If this pick feels a bit chalky, that’s because it is. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
Coming off their third straight NFC title game appearance and second Super Bowl loss in five seasons, the 49ers own the second-best championship odds at +600.
Most of their core returns, including quarterback Brock Purdy, running back and reigning NFL Offensive Player of the Year Christian McCaffrey and wide receiver Deebo Samuel.
They’ve knocked on the door long enough to eventually break through. Thus, we’re taking the 49ers in our Super Bowl odds training camp update.
