The Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams prepare to face off on football’s brightest stage in the Super Bowl on Sunday.
Last games records
The Los Angeles Rams narrowly escaped with a victory over the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game to snap their six-game skid against San Francisco. The Rams have fought hard and are the betting favorites leading into the Super Bowl.
Cincinnati has upset the odds in every facet this season, and that continued two Sundays ago in the AFC Championship Game as they defeated the Chiefs 27-24. The Bengals thrive when playing the role of underdog, and that will be the case yet again on Sunday.

Bengals vs Rams Betting Analysis
Cincinnati Bengals Betting Analysis
The odds are stacked against the Bengals once again as this game is set to take place in LA at the Rams home stadium.
But the Bengals simply do not care about the odds. Last week, the majority of experts, analysts, and fans predicted that Kansas City would handily defeat Cincinnati at home. But the Bengals went out and earned the three-point, 27-24 victory against KC.
And while Joey Burrow deserves plenty of credit, it was the defense that held strong in the game. They limited an extremely potent Chiefs offensive attack to just 24 points. The defensive unit rebounded nicely after surrendering 21 first-half points by holding the Chiefs to just three points in the second half.
The biggest play of the game occurred when the Bengals picked off Patrick Mahomes in overtime which set up the game-winning drive for Cincinnati.
Burrow finished the game with 250 passing yards on 23-38 passing and two touchdowns. For all of the hate that the Bengals’ offensive line gets, Burrow took just one sack in this game and was able to maneuver in the pocket and make big plays.
The X-factor in the Super Bowl is kicker Evan McPherson. McPherson has been automatic in the postseason as he kicked the game-winner in the win over Kansas City and also went 4-4 in the game.
The Rams don’t allow a ton of points, so the Bengals may need to rely on him quite a bit if they have trouble finding the endzone.
Los Angeles Rams Betting Analysis
The Rams have had some excruciatingly close calls over their past two games.
A Tom Brady comeback was thwarted in the divisional round after Matthew Stafford, and Cooper Kupp saved the day, and then the Rams escaped with a win at home in the championship game, in part, due to a dropped 49er interception that could have changed the entire dynamic of the affair.
But you certainly will not hear the Rams complaining. They have found ways to win these games, and now they enter as the favorites to win the Super Bowl.
Stafford led LA to their 20-17 win by throwing for 337 yards and two touchdowns, both of which were caught by Kupp. Kupp added 11 receptions for an insane 142 yards while Odell Beckham Jr. caught nine passes for over 100 yards.
The defense did a tremendous job of holding San Francisco to just 17 points. Their main goal was to limit the Niner rushing attack, and they accomplished that by holding them to just 50 total rushing yards.
The plan of attack is going to revolve around causing havoc in the Bengals backfield on Sunday. Expect Aaron Donald and Co. to be gunning for sacks against Cincinnati’s questionable offensive line. If they are able to limit the Bengals’ passing attack, the Rams’ offense will take care of the rest.
Team Updates
Both teams’ tight ends suffered injuries in the AFC and NFC Championship games. Rams tight end Tyler Higbee is listed as doubtful, but he might convince his coaching staff to let him play since it is the Super Bowl. Bengals’ tight end C.J. Uzomah is questionable with a knee injury, but the Bengals will start him unless the injury worsens to an unsustainable status.
Jalen Ramsey is listed as questionable with a shoulder ailment. However, there is no way Ramsey does not play, given the fact that he already called out Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase.
- The Rams are 10-10 ATS this season overall and 2-1 ATS during the postseason.
- The Bengals are 13-7 ATS this year overall and 3-0 ATS in the postseason.
- Los Angeles is 10-7 ATS as a favorite.
- Cincinnati is 8-3 ATS as an underdog.
Bengals vs. Rams Betting Preview
Are the Bengals and Joey Burrow headed for a dynasty? Comparing anybody to Tom Brady is a bold comparison, but Burrow has been mentioned in that regard.
The Patriots are now considered one of the most successful franchises in the NFL, but people forget that they had not even won a Super Bowl prior to Brady’s arrival. But they went on to win six with Brady under center.
The Bengals have not won a Super Bowl heading into this game, but that might change on Sunday. And if they can find a way to keep Burrow around for the long haul, Cincinnati might be headed for a dynasty as well.
The Rams re-tooled in a major way when they traded Jared Goff and a few picks for Matthew Stafford last year. The quarterback had always featured plenty of talent but rarely played in meaningful games. But Stafford has excelled so far during the 2022 postseason.
The organization went all-in by adding elite defensive weapons such as Von Miller around superstar Aaron Donald.
Los Angeles has a balanced team that is capable of shutting down their opponents.
So who is going to win this game? Should you roll with the Rams at their home stadium? Or do the Bengals have one more upset victory in them?
