The National Football League is set to start their training camp here later in the month. Once training camps get going, soon, we will start seeing pre-season action on the field. Once preseason action on the field gets going, before you know it – NFL Week 1 will arrive.
Before we get to the first games, it’s important to take a look at all the available bets out there to bet on NFL. This time, we are going to look at a defensive bet and go with the NFL sacks Leader Odds:
NFL Sacks Leader Odds
Nick Bosa +800
Bosa is the favorite of the NFL Sacks Leader Odds. The defending winner of this, playing in just 16 of the 17 games a season ago. The 49ers are once again going to be loaded on the defensive end, and probably have a bunch of leads.
That’s going to push the opponents into passing the football, and that’s time for Nick Bosa to eat. Bosa is the favorite at +800, as he had 18.5 sacks a season ago. Bosa also had 19 tackles for loss, and a total nfl player stats of 51 tackles on the season. This man is a force, and looks to win this again in 2023.
Myles Garrett +900
The Cleveland Browns defensive end is another force on defense. Garrett played in just 16 of the 17 games last season, and tied for second-most sacks. Looking at the NFL Stats from a season ago – His sacks resulted in 91 yards lost, and he also had 18 tackles for loss.
The Browns need him to be great, and the overall defense to be better this season. Garrett has been in the league since he was drafted first overall out of Texas A+M. In his career, he has 74.5. The 6’4, 272 lbs beast is one of the scariest players in the league to face.
TJ Watt +900
Not J.J. Watt, as he retired from the league. But, his brother T.J. Watt. This version finished tied for 64th a season ago, with 5.5 sacks. That was in just 10 games, as he missed with injuries. The 28-year-old out of Wisconsin has 77.5 sacks in his career. Watt hopes to find health, which will, in turn, assist the Steelers defense to be one of the elite in the AFC.
With the Bengals and Ravens cooking in the division, the Steelers will need Watt to be dominant this season. When looking at NFL Predictions – Watt is projected to have a great season.
Aidan Hutchinson +1000
The 22-year-old defensive end out of Michigan finished with 9.5 sacks during his rookie season with the Lions. Hutchinson is in a division with Justin Fields, Kirk Cousins and now Jordan Love. Fields and Cousins will take sacks, and Love will be starting his first season as a starter.
This could be a good option to bet, especially knowing you are getting 10/1 odds. Hutchinson has elite talent, and is starting to figure out the game. If the Lions are going to make the playoffs, Hutchinson will be a big part. Winning the award for most sacks would be beneficial. Look for Hutchinson to be in the NFL MVP Odds with the season he is about to have.
Haason Reddick +1200
Another guy worth betting on. The linebacker from Philadelphia was brilliant a season ago. He tied with Garrett for the second-most sacks, and was only behind Nick Bosa. Reddick, who was drafted out of Temple has been a home-time favorite all along.
The 6’1, 240 specimen will turn 29 this season, so still has some great years left. Another good option, especially coming in at 12/1 is the Eagles linebacker.
Micah Parsons +1200
The Dallas Cowboys linebacker had 13.5 sacks a season ago. While that was 5 under the leader, he had so many other opportunities to get there. Parsons had 42 solo tackles this season, which was just below Maxx Crosby within the Top 15 in sacks.
Parsons has great speed, and is extremely strong. This guy is a must-watch on the football field!

- Matthew Judon +1800
- Chris Jones +2200
- Joey Bosa +2500
This is going to be a fun race to watch. Crosby, Burns, Judon and Jones were all in the Top 10 a season ago. Bosa is an elite player just like his brother. There are a ton of good choices.
In the end though, taking the young blood Hutchinson to have an amazing season is our bet.
