As the National Hockey League season moves closer and closer to being here for the 2023-2024 season, it is time to start looking ahead at some of the future bets for the league. One of the bets we like to look at each year is the odds of winning the Hart Trophy. The Hart trophy is awarded to the Most Valuable Player during the regular season, so let’s read this article and bet on the hart memorial trophy winner.
Let’s take a look at some of the most up-to-date odds for the Hart Memorial Trophy Winner.
2023-24 Hart Trophy Award Odds
Connor McDavid, Edmonton Oilers (+1000)
McDavid is entering his age 26/27-year-old season, and his career has just been incredible so far. The first overall pick in the 2015 draft has been everything and more for the Edmonton Oilers. McDavid has played in over 500 games in his career and has 850 points. If McDavid puts up another season like he did in 2022-2023, he will pass the 1,000 points mark.
A season ago, he had an amazing 89 assists while scoring 64 goals. Unfortunately for him and the NHL team, the Edmonton Oilers have yet to make a true Stanley Cup run. Barring injuries, he is the big-time favorite for the Hart Memorial Trophy Winner.
Nathan MacKinnon, Colorado Avalanche (+900)
MacKinnon finished fifth in points and was one of 11 players in the National Hockey League with over 100 a season ago. MacKinnon did it in fewer games than any of the rest. The Colorado Avalanche center missed 11 games due to injury. His 42 goals made him 9th in the league, while his 69 assists were near the top.
MacKinnon and the Avalanche will be back to being one of the favorites in the NHL. MacKinnon was the key man in the Avalanche Cup run of 2022, and would not be a surprise if he was named a Hart Trophy winners for 2023-2024.
Leon Draisaitl, Edmonton Oilers (+1000)
He is third on the list and second on his team. Leon Draisaitl is a goal-scoring machine. In fact, he is a point-getting machine. The center from Edmont was second in all of the league in points, behind McDavid. Draisaitl scored 52 goals and dished out 76 assists on the season.
The Oilers are trying to find ways to garner all these points into a title at the end of the season, but needless to say, these two are doing their jobs. He is listed at 10/1 for the Hart Trophy Odds.
Matthew Tkachuk, Florida Panthers (+1200)
Tkachuk took a Florida Panthers squad that was 8th in the Eastern Conference to the Stanley Cup finals a season ago. Sure, he had some good help around him, but what the leftwinger did was one of the ages.
Tkachuk finished the season with 40 goals and 69 assists, and a full season in Florida has hockey fans wondering what he can do next. The 25-year-old now has 491 career points. It was reported that Tkachuk went through most of the Stanley Cup Finals with a broken sternum.
Kirill Kaprizov, Minnesota Wild (+1600)
Not just a nickname for this young stud for Minnesota. Kirill scored 40 goals and dished out 35 assists last year for Minnesota. He is another one that is trying to do all he can to experience the taste of the postseason and a long cup run. Kaprizov played in 6 postseason games last year and scored just a single point. The 26-year-old is a power play maniac, as he scored 17 of his goals with the man advantage.
David Pastrnak, Boston Bruins (+1600)
It seems like Pastrnak has been around the National Hockey League forever. He still is just 27 years old but was drafted over 9 years ago. Pastrnak had a monster season last year with 61 goals, which was second most in the league, and 52 assists.
When looking at NHL Stats -his 113 points were the third most in all of the National Hockey League. The Bruins had an amazing regular season, only to lose in the first round of the postseason. This is a guy to look out for, as if the Bruins have another great regular season, he will be the key.
Auston Matthews, Toronto Maple Leafs (+1600)
The Toronto center is turning 26 this season, and another guy seems to have tons of experience in the league. Matthews missed 8 games a season ago, which kept him outside the Top 10 in both goals and assists. Look for Matthews to regain health and come back even strong. Matthews should reach 100 points this season for Toronto.
