2024 Paris Swimming OddsPicks
- Pick: Ryan Murphy +140
- Pick: Douglass +225
- Pick: McKeown -250.
- Pick: McIntosh -250.
Odds have been posted for these four races for a while, but there has also been some movement after the heats and semifinals have taken place. Now is the perfect time to jump in and make some Olympic predictions, and each race will be a bit different.
Here is a look at an Olympic swimming finals betting preview on the four races to be held on Wednesday.
Men’s 200M Backstroke
Most events that we look at when putting together an Olympic swimming finals betting preview will have a big favorite, but that’s not really the case in this one. Ryan Murphy of the United States is favored at +140, but Hubert Kos of Hungary isn’t far behind at +165.
These Olympics odds are what you should be looking for when making 2024 Olympics picks though, because this is how you are going to get a ton of value. There is a pretty clear gap after these two swimmers, and it looks like it could be a great two-man race for the gold medal.
Even though the odds are tight, there is a reason that Ryan Murphy is the slight betting favorite at +140 to win this race. Jump on Murphy ahead of the 200M backstroke finals for a great betting win.
- Pick: Ryan Murphy +140
Women’s 200M Breaststroke
The Republic of South Africa has been known to produce some great swimmers, and it looks like there could be one of them in the women’s 200m breaststroke. Tatjana Smith of South Africa is a clear favorite to win this race at -250, but she could have some company in the pool on Wednesday.
Kate Douglass of the United States has odds at +225 to win this gold medal, and she has been coming on strong of late. These Olympics swimming odds have seen quite a bit of movement over the last few days, and Douglass is firmly in the mix to win this one.
It appears as if Tes Schouten from the Netherlands will win the bronze medal as there isn’t really anyone else close. Taking Douglass at +225 to win the gold in the women’s 200M breaststroke is a risky play, but it’s also the right way to go.
- Pick: Douglass +225
Women’s 200M Backstroke
The women’s 200m backstroke is another race that always leads to some excitement at the Olympics, and there is a favorite from Australia in this race. Kaylee McKeown is a name to know when putting together an Olympics swimming finals betting preview, and her odds are sitting at -250 to win this race.
American Regan Smith will be doing what she can to keep this race close, and her odds are sitting at +180 to win the gold medal. Phoebe Bacon from Team USA is next on the list at +1800, but that shows the clear gap in talent ahead of this event.
Smith should be able to keep things close against McKeown, but that’s about all you can expect in this race. It will be Kaylee McKeown (-250) that wins a gold medal for Australia.
- Pick: McKeown -250.

Women’s 200M Butterfly
Another big race that will be taking place on Wednesday is the women’s 200M butterfly final. Regan Smith from Team USA is also going to be one of the favorites to win this race, but she is sitting at +270 to make that happen.
Summer McIntosh from Canada is the favorite to win the gold medal in this event at -250, and she could be looking to set a new world record in the process. Smith will do all that she can to stay tight to McIntosh, but eventually the Canadian star will pull away.
It’s going to be a day full of betting favorites dominating on Wednesday, and you can add Summer McIntosh to the list.
- Pick: McIntosh -250.
