There will be four major events in Men’s Alpine Skiing taking place as we have the downhill (typical skiing), Super-G (more turns and need to go through gates with just one run to beat the clock), giant slalom (a technical race where you ski between sets of gates), and slalom (quicker and shorter turns that the giant slalom as the gates or spaced closer together).
The medal events do not kick off until Sunday, February 6, but the action kicks off with training beginning on the third.

Men’s Skiing Betting Analysis
Men’s Downhill
This is expected to be close, but the odds have this essentially as a two-person race between Aleksander Aamodt Kilde of Norway and Beat Feuz of Switzerland.
Back in the 2018 Winter Olympics, Feuz won the bronze medal in this event and is looking to improve. Kilde won three of the eight downhills events during the 2011-22 FIS Alpine Ski World Cup and has won eight World Cup events in the previous two seasons.
The Norwegian should be able to win, and I am going to trust his ability to win downhill events as well as he has been lately to get it done on the biggest stage.
Men’s Super-G Betting Analysis
Marco Odermatt over Switzerland is considered the odds-on favorite to bring home the gold but his countryman Aleksander Aamodt Kilde is right on his tail in terms of the betting odds.
However, Vincent Kreichmayer of Austria has great odds at 7-to-1 to win the event, and that seems to be the best play here. Kreichmayer won second place in the World Cup Super-G Event from 2018-202, and last season, he won two of the five races and won the gold.
He shows some value with his odds being so high, so I would expect him to go out and win this event. Smart money is on Vincent Kreichmayer to win!
Men’s Giant Slalom Betting Analysis
Marco Odermatt of Switzerland is the heavy favorite to win the Giant Slalom as he is listed at +110 while no one else has better odds than +800 to win this event.
Sometimes you do not need in-depth analysis to tell you where the smart play is as the odds for the event do just enough. However, I am inclined to give some background. Odermatt has won the gold twice in the Junior World Championships and finished second in the 2020-21 World Cup.
He has won four of the five Giant Slalom races this season in the World Cup, and he should be able to add another victory to his resume here and win the gold in this event. Bet on Marco Odermatt to deliver!
Men’s Slalom Betting Analysis
There is a tie for the favorite in terms of odds for this event as Clement Noel of France and Henrik Kristoffersen of Norway are both being listed at +400 to win gold.
There is not much separation as Manuel Feller of Austria (+550) and Sebastian Foss-Solevaag of Norway (+650) are not far behind. Noel has nine Wins in the World Cup and won gold in the Junior World Championships back in 2018 in this event.
He is a young 24 years old, and his youth will help him in this event, so go with Clement Noel of France to pick up the victory in this event.
Men’s Skiing Betting Prediction Winter Olympics 2022
Not as many people are going to be dialed into this on the American side as there are not many Americans expected to get a medal on the men’s side of things, but this is still an incredible few events that you do not want to miss, and the odds are great.
