The 2024 United States Presidential election is going to be a big one, both in terms of intrigue and betting options. If the 2020 presidential election was any indication, then things could start to spiral out of control in a big way heading into November 2024.
It looks as if the Democratic Party is going to go with Joe Biden as their top candidate yet again, and that would make sense since he is the current president. The Republican Party is expected to go with Donald Trump, but there are still some other names in the mix, and this is all subject to change.
Here is a look at some of the Republican nominee futures if you take Donald Trump Sr. out of the mix.
A Look at the Favorites
If you are going to look at betting on Republican nominee futures, then you are going to want to look at the list that doesn’t include Donald Trump Sr. He is still the overwhelming favorite to be the candidate that represents this political party in the presidential race, but there is still time for things to change.
If you have followed the Donald Trump news over the last few months, then you might notice that things haven’t exactly been positive in regard to the former president. He has been arrested a few times, but he is not expected to do any real serious jail time.
The politics odds for any other candidate representing the Republican Party beyond Trump are when things get really interesting, and there are some big names at play here. In most years, the Republican Party would love to select any of the other candidates, and that could actually still happen based on what transpires over the next few months.
Ron DeSantis is the current betting favorite to represent the Republican Party if you remove Donald Trump from the odds. Those odds for DeSantis are set at +130, and it’s Vivek Ramaswamy that is next on the list at +225.
There are several interesting names when looking at the Republican nominee futures, and that’s why most people believe that this party is in great shape moving forward. Here is a look at some of the other big names that you should consider when betting on the Republican party:
Cadidate | Odds |
Nikki Haley | +450 |
Mike Pence | +800 |
Tim Scott | +1000 |
Glenn Youngkin | +1600 |
Chris Christie | +2500 |
Brian Kemp | +7000 |
Tucker Carlson | +7000 |
Doug Burgum | +10000 |
Odds to Win Election
There are many ways to make politics predictions, and betting on the Republican Party is only a small piece of the puzzle. This party hopes to get someone in place to win the presidential race, and the current betting odds for that market show that things are pretty tight.
Joe Biden is still the betting favorite to win the presidential election in 2024, as he has odds set at +185 to get that done. Biden narrowly beat Trump the first time that these two men squared off, but it’s never easy to get the incumbent out of office.
The odds for Trump to win the 2024 Presidential Election are tight, as well, as he is currently being offered at +200. That would suggest that he is squarely in the race, and all he would need to do is swing a few states in his favor.
This is going to be a big decision for the Republican Party when it comes ts to choosing a candidate, as that could make the decision harder for voters. While Trump has the big name recognition, there are clearly others in that party that could make a run as well.
