Dynamo Kyiv Analysis
During the preseason games, Dynamo Kyiv struggled to win games as they lost quite a few. Fortunately for the team, they got their form together and progressed from their first UCL qualifiers tie against Fenerbahce. They had to struggle to make it past a formidable team.
Dynamo Kyviv Performance
After a hard-fought 90 minutes that also ended in a draw, the team could get a win in the 114th minute to end the game at 2-1.
Against all odds, Dynamo made it to the next round, even though they weren’t the favorites to win the tie.
In their following qualification round, they were paired against SK Sturm Graz, but they did better than the one against Fenerbahce. The team did better in both legs.
Two-Legged
Dynamo Kyiv was the home team in the first leg, and they won 1-0; albeit slim, it was enough to push them into the second leg.
The second leg wasn’t as easy as it had to go into extra time. Sturm Graz took the lead in the 27th minute, and they rode on that lead until the end of regular time.
However, they couldn’t hold on in the extra time as Kostiantyn Vivcharenko equalized for Dynamo before Viktor Tsyganko gave them the victory in the 112th minute.
Dynamo Kyiv Team
Dynamo Kyiv is a team of fighters that can push themselves to win games. The team has gone through the campaign by ensuring they never give up. So, we think they are solid enough to take on Benfica.
Benfica Analysis
Benfica has been on an incredible run since the start of the preseason. They haven’t lost a single game since they did against Porto last season.
They’ve been dominant against all the teams they’ve faced and continued to give blaze through games. Their champions league schedule for the qualifiers started against Midtjylland.
First Leg
The game was easy for the team following the aggregate, which ended in 7-2. Benfica was at home in the first leg, and they won 4-1.
The game ended in the 40th minute when Enzo Fernandez made it 3-0, making the second half more or less a formality.
However, Goncalo Ramos ensured that he got his hat trick the night after he made it 4-0 in the 61st minute.
But it didn’t end there as Pione Sisto scored a penalty for Midjylland after Felipe Morato conceded a penalty for the team. The first leg ended in 4-1, making it an uphill task for the Danish team.
Second Leg
Going into the second leg, we didn’t expect anything massive from the home team as they are already down by 4-1. And it went as expected when Enzo Fernandez scored Benfica’s first goal in the 23rd minute.
Henrique Araujo made it 2-0 in the 56th minute before Pione Sisto reduced the deficit to one in the 63rd minute. However, Diogo Goncalves made it 7-2 on aggregate in the 88th minute.
Benfica for the Fourth Round
With that, Benfica would face Dynamo Kyiv in the fourth round of the UCL qualification campaign. They might not have it easy as they did against Midtjylland.
Dynamo Kyiv vs. Benfica Pick and Prediction
The game is exciting and promises end-to-end action. We would expect both teams to go all out for the game.
They would have to work harder than in the last game because they will both play a better version of their last opponent.
It is a tricky game to bet, and everybody with champions league betting experience knows picking a winning team isn’t easy.
Who to Bet On?
Benfica has been on a solid run of form, and we don’t expect them to slow down in this game. They would want to make it into the UCL proper.
Therefore, we don’t think they would lose the tie. So, we are backing Benfica to win with our soccer picks, albeit a slim win. Our score prediction for the tie is 1-0.
Soccer Pick: Draw (+273)
