Barcelona FC Analysis
Barcelona had a tough season in transition last year after selling Lionel Messi to PSG, loaning Antoine Griezmann to Atletico Madrid, and dealing with a financial crisis.
New acquisition Sergio Aguero retired with health issues and the season never really got on track. Manager Ronald Koeman was sacked in November, and Barca went on to finish second in La Liga while losing in the Round of 16 in the Copa del Rey and failing to get out of the Champions League group stage.
Memphis Depay and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang led the way last year with 13 goals each. Ousmane Dembele had 12 assists, while Jordi Alba had 12. Marc-Andre ter Stegen started 49 of the 53 games last year in all competitions, allowing 57 goals with 118 saves and 15 clean sheets.
Barcelona Lineup Breakdown
Barcelona played one friendly in Spain before leaving for the US as they tied RFEF Group 5 side Olot 1-1 on July 13.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had the goal for Barca in the 28th minute. They played a hybrid of their usual players with youngsters as four starters made their Barcelona debut.

He scored 50 goals in all competitions last year for Bayern Munich and signed with Barca for €45 million.
