Inter Miami vs. Orlando City Odds, Picks, and Predictions

Florida duo Inter Miami and Orlando City square off in midweek MLS action at DRV PNK Stadium. At the time of writing, both sides are in the playoff places in the Eastern Conference table, level on 45 points.

The winners of this will pretty much sew up a playoff berth, while the losers will be sweating on the final day.

We hunt down the best MLS odds and give you Inter Miami vs Orlando City prediction in our in-depth betting preview.

Inter Miami vs. Orlando City Odds Breakdown

On paper, there is not a lot to split these two teams. The pair have an identical record after 32 games played, but home advantage gives Inter Miami the slight edge when it comes to the betting.

The bookies are pricing the home win at +145. There is not a lot in it, though, as Orlando City are available at +180. As for the draw, the best current price we can find is +240. This one really could go either way.

Inter Miami vs. Orlando City Betting Preview

Inter Miami have enjoyed a far better season this time around. They have struggled for consistency at times, but Phil Neville’s men will fancy their chances of being in the playoff party.

They are level with Orlando City, with Columbus Crew also on 45 points. The fight for playoff places is set to go to the wire in the Eastern section.  Inter’s playoff dreams were hanging by a thread when they recently suffered three successive defeats.

Neville’s Men

However, Neville’s men have turned a corner of late, as the Herons have gone on to claim consecutive wins over Columbus, DC United, and Toronto to get back on track.

Miami has been a tough nut to crack on home soil all year, with just:

  • Los Angeles
  • Houston Dynamo
  • Philadelphia Union

Leaving DRV PNK Stadium with all three points. Since the loss to Union in July, Inter has taken 13 points from a possible 15 and are unbeaten at their Fort Lauderdale home.

Can they keep that fine run going in front of their home fans with three points from this huge midweek matchup?

Orlando’s Inconsistency

Like Miami, Orlando City has also been inconsistent this season. They, too, have picked up 13 wins, drawn six times, and suffered 13 losses from 32 MLS matches. City has scored one goal less but has conceded four fewer.

The Lions looked nailed on for the playoffs when they won four in a row in August and September, getting the better of:

  • New York Red Bulls
  • Charlotte
  • New York City
  • Seattle Sounders

However, they have taken just three points from their following four games. A win would be huge for Orlando, but with City ahead in the current MLS standings, a draw would not be a disastrous result for the away side.

This fixture is tough to call as both teams look for the points – check out our Inter Miami vs. Orlando City prediction in our betting preview below.

Inter Miami vs. Orlando City Betting Analysis and Prediction

After this one, both clubs will have just one more game left on their MLS schedule. Inter Miami are at home again as they welcome Montreal to DRV PNK Stadium.

As for Orlando City, they host Columbus, who are also still in with a shout of reaching the playoffs. As we touched on, Inter have been a tough nut to crack on their own patch this term.

Who to Bet On?

In fact, just six teams in the combined MLS have collected more home points than the Herons. They have two home matches left, and maximum points will guarantee them a place in the playoffs for the first time in their history.

With the pair so evenly matched, giving you our Inter Miami vs Orlando City prediction is not an easy task.

This mouth-watering all-Florida MLS fixture really could go either way, but we can see Neville’s Miami edging it on home turf. Put some money on the home win at the tempting MLS odds of +145.

MLS Pick: Inter Miami (+145)
