Garcia vs. Raducanu Betting Analysis
Garcia defeated Yuriko Miyazaki in a come-from-behind, three-set victory on Monday. She won the third set tiebreaker 10-4. Raducanu, meanwhile, defeated Alison Van Uytvanck 6-4, 6-4 and looked like the dominant player she was at last year’s US Open, albeit against a lesser opponent.
Raducanu knows Garcia plays a more intense pace and spoke to that after her first round victory. It’ll be interesting to see who dictates the pace in the match and whether or not Garcia’s intensity can slow Raducanu and keep the crowd disengaged.
“Caroline is a great opponent,” Raducanu said following her first-round victory. “I played here earlier on in the year in Indian Wells and it was a tricky match. She plays pretty fast tennis. I’m ready for that. Right now I’m kind of just enjoying the win. But tomorrow, I’ll prepare well and, yeah, be ready to go for Wednesday.”
Grass is Garcia’s Best Surface
Garcia has won more than 60 percent of her career matches on grass, which is her highest success rate on all surfaces. She won the Bad Homburg Open last weekend and did so in convincing fashion, with a three-set victory over 2019 US Open winner Bianca Andreescu.
Can Raducanu Build on Centre Court Debut?
Raducanu has really fallen off since her surprise Grand Slam victory at the 2021 US Open. But she looked great in a straight sets first round victory, her first win on the famed Centre Court.
Raducanu will have the support of the crowd, which can be intimidating for the opponent especially at such an iconic venue. Unfortunately, she faces a formidable challenge in Garcia.
Garcia vs. Raducanu Betting Preview
The second round Wimbledon Open odds match for Garcia and Raducanu will take place on Wednesday, although an official start time hasn’t been decided. Be sure to keep an eye on the start time before betting and remember that many games occur very early in the morning, depending on where you live.
Garcia vs. Raducanu Betting Prediction
Given Garcia’s success this season, including a recent ATP 250 title, and the fact grass is her best surface, it’s not hard to imagine her scoring what would be a betting upset.
However, Garcia even has a better record than Raducanu this season and has performed better against top opponents than Raducanu. There’s a good chance here to take advantage of sportsbooks fading the more well-known player in Raducanu.
Take Garcia for the match victory, but it’s likely going three sets.
