The third Grand Slam of the ATP/WTA seasons and one of the biggest tennis main events of the year, Wimbledon, starts July 3 at the All England Lawn Tennis Club and runs until July 16. The oldest tennis tournament in the world was first held in 1877 and brings together top players from all over the world. In the men’s draw, Novak Djokovic, who recently surpassed Rafael Nadal to become the all-time leader in Grand Slam victories, is looking to win his fifth consecutive Wimbledon title.
Djokovic has the shortest Wimbledon futures odds, and with good reason. He’s even better on grass than he is on clay, so it’ll be tough for anyone to take him down.
Iga Swiatek and Elena Rybakina, two of the best female players in the world this season, have the shortest Wimbledon futures odds in the women’s draw.
Many books even have Aryna Sabalenka with the same odds. The women’s draw is wide open, however, with a possibility of someone like Coco Gauff or Ons Jabeur finally breaking through for Grand Slam success.

Who to Fade
It’s hard to bet on anyone other than Djokovic in Wimbledon, especially considering the level at which he is playing right now. However, one player with Wimbledon futures odds that should be much higher is Carlos Alcaraz.
The 2022 U.S. Open winner isn’t as good of a grass court player as Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, or even Nick Kyrgios, and he showed conditioning problems at Roland Garros. Perhaps we need to pump the brakes on annointing him the future of the sport.
Possible Upsets
If you’re going to bet on anyone other than Djokovic, Jannik Sinner, with tennis odds of +1200, is a great option. The talented Italian beat Alcaraz in the Round of 16 at last year’s Wimbledon before losing to Djokovic in the quarters, and his style is better suited for the grass court.
Keep an eye on his injury status, however, as he was forced to withdraw from his quarter-final match at ATP Halle this week.
Taylor Fritz and Tsitsipas are other strong upset candidates.

Who to Fade
Sabalenka has three singles titles and is 34-6 this season. She’s one of the most dominant players on the WTA Tour, but showed some cracks in the semi final at Roland Garros against Karolina Muchova.
She’s also a much better hard-court player than grass court player, with just a 62.22 career winning percentage on grass.
Possible Upsets
Coco Gauff has been on the cusp of greatness in the women’s game for a few years now and is still just 19 years old.
The world No. 4 lost to Iga Swiatek in the quarter-final of the French Open but has better odds for tennis picks at Wimbledon as she’s a stronger grass court player. This could finally be her breakthrough moment.
Ons Jabeur, at +1000, is another great upset option. Jabeur reached the quarter-finals of Wimbledon in 2022 and is still seeking her first career Grand Slam title.
She hasn’t had quite the year she had hoped for after a breakthrough year last year, but she will be motivated at the All-England Club.
