The 2024 WNBA season has been nothing but excitement from the first game, all the way through the Olympic break. The league is getting plenty of attention, and much of that has to do with the rookie class. The class that carried NCAA Basketball to a ton of success last season.
The two main characters in that rookie class are battling it out for the 2024 Rookie of the Year award. When the action gets back going in mid-August, these two will ramp it up in an effort to win the award. Here are the most up-to-date odds to win the Rookie of the Year betting odds:
Head to Head
The first meeting between these two teams, the Fever beat the Sky 71-70 in Indianapolis. Reese had 8 points and 13 rebounds, while Clark went for 11 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. They then met again on June 16th with Indiana once again winning that game. The Fever beat the Sky in Indianapolis 91-83. Reese had 11 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists, but shot just 4 of 13. Clark scored 23 points and dished out 9 assists in the game.
A week later they met in Chicago with the Sky winning for the first time in the season series. Chicago won 88-87. Reese was massive in the game, scoring 25 points, ripping down 16 rebounds, and going 8 for 12 from the field. Clark scored 17 points and dished out 13 assists.
Caitlin Clark -2000
To start the Rookie of the Year betting odds: The former Iowa Hawkeyes star, who was absolutely electric during her run in the NCAA, has helped anchor the Indiana Fever to a chance to reach the WNBA postseason in 2024. The Fever are 11-15 on the season, and third in the East WNBA standings to start the second half of the season. A season ago, Indiana was a complete disaster, and Clark has helped start the turnaround. Clark is scoring 17.1 points per game to lead her team.
As a guard, she still does her work in the paint, with 5.8 rebounds per game, and is the league leader with 8.2 assists per game. Clark makes nearly three shots per game from downtown. She is going to be hard to overtake for the award, as she plays 35 minutes per game for the Fever as they look to keep the surge going in the second half of the season.

What’s Next for the Fever?
Indiana starts the second half of the WNBA Schedule on August 16th at home against the Mercury. The Fever have a pair of home games to start the second half, before heading to Minnesota and Atlanta later in the month. The Fever and Sky meet up in Chicago on August 30th for the final time this season.
Angel Reese +700
Reese, who was known for her time at LSU won a national title and knocked Clark out of the title game. Reese comes with a bunch of storylines, and like Clark is not always the most likable on the court. Both players have incredible tenacity and the ability to take over a game. Reese, with the Chicago Sky have them playing better basketball as well, with a 10-14 record heading into the break.
While not a ton team in the league, certainly on the cusp of leading her team to the postseason. Reese is the top rebounder in all of the WNBA player stats with 12 per game. She is just ahead of A’Ja Wilson of Las Vegas. Reese is scoring 13.5 points per game as well. Many doubt her ability to shoot the basketball, but at 40%, she is holding her own. She comes into the second half of the season as a big-time underdog but has time to make her run with her Chicago Sky squad.
What’s Next for Chicago?
Chicago will host the Phoenix Mercury in their first game back from the break. That game is on August 15th. Following that, the Sky will play a trio of road games in Los Angeles, Phoenix and Connecticut. As mentioned above, the Sky and Fever will meet one more time, on August 30th in Chicago. That will be the final time these two rookies meet against each other in the regular season.
Exciting Times Ahead
Clark is the favorite, but Reese has a chance to make a move in the second half of the season. It will be a fun second half of the season. We hope you enjoyed our look at the Rookie of the Year WNBA betting odds. Have fun with all the action, and want to wish you the best of luck with all your Picks and Parlays for the WNBA regular season!
