The Kansas City Chiefs will travel to Nissan Stadium on Sunday afternoon to take on the Tennessee Titans in a Week 7 matchup.
The Chiefs are third in the AFC West with a 3-3 record after defeating the Washington Football Team on the road 31-13. Patrick Mahomes finished 32-of-47 for 397 yards with two touchdowns and interceptions.
The Titans are leading the AFC South with a 4-2 record and are coming off a 34-31 home win over the Buffalo Bills on Monday night. Ryan Tannehill finished 18-of-29 for 216 yards with an interception.
Climbing Up the Hill
The Kansas City Chiefs will throw the football a lot to wide receiver Tyreek Hill. So far this season, he has 46 catches for 592 yards (12.9 yards per reception) and five touchdowns.
In his last game against Washington, Hill had nine catches on 12 targets for 76 yards (8.4 yards per reception) and a touchdown. If he can continue to find the end zone, it will do wonders for the Chiefs.
The Kansas City Chiefs have struggled on the defensive side of the field as they are allowing 29.3 points per game. In their previous game against the Washington Football Team, they gave up 13 points on 276 total yards of offense (182 passing, 94 rushing).
The Chiefs need to get more stops as Washington went 7-of-14 on third down. They also need to stuff the run as the Chiefs gave up 4.9 rushing yards per attempt.
Record Breaker
The Tennessee Titans have been dominant running the football as running back Derrick Henry has 162 carries for 783 yards (4.8 yards per run) and ten touchdowns.
In his last game against the Buffalo Bills, Henry finished with 20 rushes for 143 yards (7.2 yards per run) with three touchdowns. If he can continue to carry the offense, they will be hard to beat in this game.
The Tennessee Titans defense needs to step up as they are giving up 26.8 points per game. In their previous game against the Buffalo Bills, they allowed 31 points on 417 total yards of offense (335 passing, 82 rushing).
They need to improve on the run defense as they allowed 3.6 rushing yards per attempt. If they can fix their defense up a little bit, they can be a top team in the NFL.
Who to Bet on Chiefs at Titans
These teams are very close and could be potential playoff opponents. The Titans are 4-2 against the spread this season, while the Chiefs are 2-4 against the spread.
The top-two pass catchers for each team (Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce for Kansas City and A.J. Brown and Julio Jones for Tennessee) are all listed as questionable on the injury report.
However, the Kansas City Chiefs do not have an answer defensively to stop Derrick Henry. All in all, take the Tennessee Titans at home to cover the spread against one of the most prolific offenses in all of football.
