The Washington Football Team will travel to Lambeau Field on Sunday afternoon to take on the Green Bay Packers in a Week 7 matchup. The Football Team is second in the NFC East with a 2-4 record and are coming off a 31-13 home loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Taylor Heinicke finished the game going 24-of-39 for 182 yards with a touchdown and an interception. The Packers are 5-1 and are leading the NFC North as they are coming off a 24-14 road win over the Chicago Bears. Aaron Rodgers went 17-of-23 for 195 yards with a pair of touchdowns.
AG Means Business
Antonio Gibson has been playing well this season for the Washington Football Team as he currently has 89 rushes for 357 yards (4.0 yards per run) and three rushing touchdowns, as well as 36 catches for 247 yards (6.9 yards per reception). In his previous game against the Kansas City Chiefs, Gibson finished with just ten rushes for 44 yards (4.4 yards per attempt) on the ground and a pair of catches for no yards. If the Washington offense can improve, they can be in a better spot.
The Washington Football Team defense has been a disappointment this season as they are giving up 31 points per game. In their previous game against the Kansas City Chiefs, they allowed 31 points on 499 total yards of offense (390 passing, 109 rushing). The Chiefs went 11-of-17 on third down and 1-of-2 on fourth. The Football Team did a good job at forcing three turnovers (one fumble recovery, two interceptions). If Washington can step up, they can make a Wild Card in the NFC.
WR1
The Green Bay Packers love to get the football to wide receiver Davante Adams as he is leading the NFL with both 46 receptions and 668 yards (14.5 yards per catch) while adding a pair of touchdown receptions. Looking at his previous game against the Chicago Bears, Adams finished with four receptions on five targets for 89 yards (22.3 yards per catch). If he can continue to showcase his ability to be the best around, it will continue helping the Packers win.
The Green Bay Packers have been a good defensive team this season as they are giving up 22.7 points per game this season. In their previous game against the Chicago Bears, they allowed 14 points on 277 total yards of offense (137 passing, 140 rushing). The Packers did decently well at getting stops on key downs as the Bears went 4-of-11 on third down and converted on 1-of-2 fourth-down attempts. Green Bay needs to improve on stopping the run as Chicago finished with 5.4 yards per attempt. If they can sure up their defense, they will be able to hold onto the NFC North lead.
Who to Bet on Washington at Packers?
Green Bay is a heavy favorite at home right now, and I don’t necessarily love the number as it’s floating at a two-possession game. The Washington Football Team defense will improve and should be able to here as they can get pressure on Rodgers to keep it close. Go with Washington to cover the spread on the road.
