NFL Week 13
Waiting 11 months for a rematch with the Cincinnati Bengals will have the Kansas City Chiefs eager to travel to Paul Brown Stadium. The Chiefs appeared headed to another Super Bowl before a second-half collapse in the AFC Championship game cost Kansas City a win.
The Bengals, who beat Kansas City in the regular season last year as well, outscored Kansas City 14-3 in the second half to force overtime in what would eventually become a 27-24 Bengals’ victory. While Week 13 NFL matchups aren’t chock full of great games, this battle between AFC contenders will mark how much progress each franchise has made since they last met at Arrowhead Stadium last January.
The first week of the NFL season gives teams an opportunity to show what they have learned after an offseason of reflection.
While a good or bad result in the season opener doesn’t make or break the season, this is a good chance for players and teams to build goodwill with the fanbase and the league at large.
