Championships:

Regionalliga Nordost: 2012–13.

NOFV-Oberliga Süd: 2009–10.

DFB-Pokal: 2021–22.

Saxony Cup: 2010–11, 2012–13.

Leipzig did an amazing job in season 2021-22, finishing in 4th place which qualifies them for the Champions League group stage. Even if they were runner-ups the season prior, they are still playing in the top leagues in the world. Their preparation period wasn’t so amazing considering that they lost 5:0 against Liverpool.

RB Leipzig stats show that they are always on the top in Bundesliga standings but are not doing so great in the Champions League. They have a positive score in both the Champions League and Europa League but they didn’t make it too far after leaving the group stage.

RB Leipzig General Info

Leipzig is also the name of the city they come from and they are one of the youngest clubs in the Bundesliga. Red Bull Arena is their stadium that has a capacity of 47 000.  Considering that they are a young team, they reached the Bundesliga schedule very fast, playing for the first time in 2017.

RB Leipzig History

They don’t have a long history of being a team that was founded in 2009. Considering that most of the teams are more than 100 years old in their league, they are doing an amazing job staying on the top. Their Bundesliga betting odds are probably great because they got a lot of funding from the beginning being the Red Bull club.

RB Leipzig Records

There aren’t a lot of things that you can take into consideration from their history except that Yussuf Poulsen has played 325 matches for the team, but isn’t the top scorer, that would be Timo Werner. Their biggest win was against Mainz where they scored 8 goals.

They invested a bit more in defenders with David Raum being the most expensive transfer this year costs 26 million euros. They also invested 12 million in Xaver Schlager to improve their midfield.

Most of their profits this year came from the transfers. Tyler Adams was sold to Leeds for 17 million, Hee-chan Hwang to Wolves for 16.7 million, Brian Brobbey to Ajax for 16.35 million, Nordi Mukiele for 12 million to PSG, and Ademola Lookman to Atalanta for 9 million.

They changed 12 managers in 13 years which isn’t so great for many teams and most of them had similar achievements considering that they haven’t won the Bundesliga yet. Domenico Tedesco will have a chance to prove himself in the Champions League and possibly become their best coach.
