Maccabi Haifa represents Israel in the Mutasarrifate of Jerusalem, present-day Israel. The team competes in the Israeli Premier League, which allows them to also participate in the UEFA Champions League if they can meet the criteria set for them before the end of the season or through the qualification rounds.

They play their home matches at the Sammy Ofer Stadium in Haifa. The stadium has a 30,000+ capacity, with Ya’akov Shahar as the current owner of the team and Itzik Ovadia as the team’s chairman. Popularly called the Greens, Maccabi Haifa remain one of the best teams from Israel as they continue to improve their position in the Champions League standings. 

Maccabi Haifa History

The story started in 1913 when the club was created in the port city of Haifa. The team didn’t play in any officially created tournaments until 1928. The club also went through some years of inactivity until 1928. This period wasn’t too great for the team, and it wasn’t until the 1961/1962 season before the team won its first title.

From there, Maccabi Haifa betting improved, especially in the modern age when they dominated the national league. The team had a few bumps in the road as they continued to grow. However, they’ve become a top team in Israel and remain a top contender for the league, but they are still behind some teams, making M. Haifa betting a potential value pick in the UCL.
