Serie A Schedule

The Italian Serie A is one of the top five leagues in soccer, and it is home to some of the best teams in the world. The league has been around for a long time. We’ve seen many players burst onto the scene in Italy and take on the biggest stages in soccer. The league has also produced many Balon d’Or winners over the years.

Like the other top-flight soccer leagues in Europe, the Serie A Schedule usually starts in August, and we continue to enjoy all the battles until May of the following year. The full season is 20 teams playing 38 games each and trying to get the most points on the last game week.

Getting into the Serie A Schedule

The teams in the Serie A are all going to play home and away games from the start of the season to the end. Once the 20 teams for the new season are confirmed, we will see them play across different venues in the country against the other 19 teams.

Each team will have the luxury of playing at home in 19 of the 38 games while traveling across the entire country to play the remaining 19. Each win will give them three points, and a draw equals one point.

Serie A

The Italian Serie A is home to some of the biggest teams in Europe, and their work is to get as many points as possible before the end of the season. In a typical Serie A season, the teams are fighting to win the league; others are looking for a spot in the qualification zones for European competitions. Finally, some teams are trying to avoid dropping to Serie B.

Why to follow the Serie A Schedule

In the history of the Serie A, the teams are always competing before the start of the season, and as a result, all the games between August and May are outlined with the dates out. However, if anything occurs, the dates can change, and we can see teams play multiple games in a week.

A good example was when the pandemic hit and the matches were suspended; we could not have the standard May final game week. We had to wait until August to complete the games before Juventus were crowned champions of Italy.

Main Events on Serie A Schedule

The main events on the Serie A schedule consist of the various local derbies and rivalries over the years. One of the biggest events is the Milan derby, where two of the biggest teams in the county will face at the San Siro twice. The Milan derby has always been the biggest event in the Italian Serie A schedule.

In addition, it always offers the best Serie A betting options throughout the regular season. Other main events include the Turin Derby between Juventus and Torino and the Roman rivalry between Roma and Lazio.

Serie A Main Venues

Over the years, in the Serie A season, we’ve had some top-notch venues that host some of the biggest games, which are perfect for the Serie A betting guides. A good note is the San Siro, which houses two historical teams in the league, AC Milan and Inter Milan.

Other notable options are the Allianz Stadium in Turin, Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Naples, and the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. These stadiums host the biggest matches in a regular Serie A season.

After Covid-19 Details

The Covid-19 pandemic changed many things for the Italian Serie A. The league was suspended for a few months, and after a while, it restarted, but fans were not allowed in the stadium. However, the stadiums are filled up, and we can enjoy the Italian Serie A to the fullest. The schedule is back to normal, and the season starts in August and ends in May.
