UFC Fight Night Mackenzie Dern vs. Yan Xiaonan
To open up October on the UFC schedule, there is a Fight Night event that is headlined by strawweight Mackenzie Dern (12-2) and Yan Xiaonan (15-3) at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas. These two women are both some of the most talented fighters in the UFC, and it is so exciting whenever two women on the roster get to headline UFC events.
After an impressive winning streak, Xiaonan has dropped her last two fights, including one to the current champion Carla Esparza. This is a massive fight for her career to get back on track and towards a title shot on UFC Next Events. Her takedown and submission defense will need to be at her best if she wants to fend off the constant finishing attempts by an elite Brazilian jiu-jitsu fighter like Dern.
