Playoff implications are on the line when the Connecticut Sun visit the Los Angeles Sparks at 10:30 p.m. ET on Thursday. Check the Sun vs Sparks Betting Trends below.

WNBA betting trends show the Sun are 19-15 against the spread and 18-15-1 on over/unders. Meanwhile, the Sparks are 16-18 against the spread and 20-14 on over/unders.

The oddsmakers favor the Sun by 11 points with an over/under of 162.5 points. The Sun moneyline is a whopping -735 to the Sparks’ +495, a remarkable number if they were able to break through for a big win.

WNBA picks data show the Sparks are the betting favorite against the spread, with 51% of public bets siding with Los Angeles. Then 61% of public bets are on the over.

The two teams played on Tuesday, with the Sun cruising to a wire-to-wire 97-71 win. Jonquel Jones had 21 points and ten rebounds, leading the Sun, who had five players in double figures. Connecticut converted 51% of shots from the field and 42% of 3-point attempts.

The Sparks were led by:

They converted 46% of field goal attempts and 40% of 3-pointers but turned it over 20 times and were outrebounded 40-23. It’s a series that has been dominated by the Sun of late. Connecticut has won the last five of its meetings with the Sparks against the spread in Los Angeles.

The Sun are also 10-1 against the spread across the last 11 meetings. Straight up, though, the Sun have won six straight with their last loss at home on Aug. 28, 2020.

The under is 10-1 in the last 11 meetings in Los Angeles and 10-2 in the last 12 meetings regardless of location. This season the over/under is 1-1.

The Sun have been dominant all season, ranking third offensively and defensively. The Sun averaged 85.4 points per game with the second-best shooting percentage (45.9%) in the league and third-best 3-point shooting percentage (35.5%) league-wide.

Defensively the Sun give up 77.9 points per game. Though teams have success on the interior with a 43.9% field goal percentage allowed, they tighten it up on the perimeter, holding teams to the second-best 3-point rate of 32.8%.

Connecticut also has the second-best rebounding numbers (37.0 per game) and the fewest rebounds (29.1) per game allowed.

The Sparks haven’t done a whole lot of great things this season yet find themselves in a league that is so tight at the bottom of the standings. It got worse when star center Liz Cambage left the team in late July.

Los Angeles is ninth offensively, scoring 79.5 points per game. They are fifth in field goal percentage at 44.7% but are the worst 3-point shooting team at 32.1%.

Despite having key frontcourt members, they are the worst rebounding team and are only grabbing 30.8 boards per contest.

Defensively they are the second worst team, allowing 85.5 points per game. They have the second worst field goal percentage against (46.0%) and the worst 3-point field goal percentage against (37.4%).

If Tuesday was any indication of how things will go, the Sun are appropriately 11-point favorites, and the -735 on the moneyline (meaning a $735 bet would profit $100) is more than fair.

Things have only gotten worse for the sparks in the past two weeks after they were a legitimate playoff threat.

Losing Cambage and the unknown status of Chimey Ogwumike (questionable, face, but played on Tuesday) really hinder their talent if she can’t go. At +495, oddsmakers recognize it’s a big ask for the Sparks to pull off an upset.

WNBA betting trends show the Sun are 19-15 against the spread and 18-15-1 on over/unders.
