Paris Saint-Germain General Info

Paris Saint-Germain Football Club is a top team based in Paris. They play their football in the top-tier division of the French football league. They’ve risen to be dominant in recent seasons, and as a result, they are now the most successful team in the league. And we expect them to push for more titles.

The team plays its home games at the Parc des Princes, a stadium with a 47,929 seating capacity. It is owned by Qatar Sports Investments company, with Nasser Al-Kehlaifi as the president. Christophe Galtier is the team’s head coach this season as they hope to win the Ligue 1, UEFA Champions League, and other domestic championships.

Paris Saint-Germain History

The story started when an ambitious group of men decided to develop a top football club in the capital in the summer of 1970. Before then, there was already an established competitive footballing division in the league. The club was created from a merger between Paris FC and Stade Saint-Germain.

After sorting for funds through crowdfunding, the team was officially formed on the 17th of June 1970, and by August, the merger was official. The team went on to have a rollercoaster form. They eventually made it to the first division within their first decade of existence. And by 1982, the team secured its first major championship.

After the victory, we could see enough fight in the team, and they wanted to rival the top teams. However, they soon fell into a period of no titles. Eventually, the takeover happened, and since then, they’ve become the most dominant team in France, winning many titles over the years.
