LeBron James is an American professional basketball player who is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time. He was born on December 30, 1984, in Akron, Ohio. James began playing basketball at an early age and quickly developed into a top high school prospect.
He was drafted first overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2003 NBA Draft and spent the first seven years of his career there, leading the team to their first NBA Finals appearance in 2007. In 2010, James famously announced his decision to leave Cleveland for the Miami Heat, where he won two NBA championships.
After four years in Miami, he returned to Cleveland in 2014 and led the Cavaliers to their first NBA championship in 2016.
