South Carolina will host the RBC Heritage PGA Tour event this coming weekend. After the past weekend with the Masters, we should have another exciting event to look forward to this week.
This tournament holds some of the top players as they try and relax going into the end of the season, as the Masters was the biggest event for most players.
A big name to look out for this week will be Jon Rahm, as he is coming off a Masters win in Augusta. The golf odds have some questioning odds this week. Below are my golf picks this week.
Watchout for Jon Rahm for RBC Heritage Odds
After four putting on the first hole of the Masters, Rahm was able to play almost perfectly the next 71 holes. Rahm has been on fire this season as he has played in a total of 10 events this season and has won four of them. After winning the Masters last weekend, Rahm has taken first in the FedEx world rankings with a total of 2,631 points.
I believe if Rahm plays the way he did the past weekend, he will be able to get another win on the season. I could also see Rahm shooting around three to six over on the weekend and not being in contention as he does not want to exert more energy.
The RBC Heritage odds for Rahm are at +900 for the golf odds, and I believe it could be a toss-up of how Rahm plays this week. If you are following the golf betting guide, I would not take Rahm this week.
Scottie Scheffler’s bounceback week
Scheffler has a rough week with the putter at the Masters. Watching him last week showed he had some frustration that you have never really seen out of Scheffler this season.
Scheffler is going to look for a big bounceback this week, and I believe he will be throwing darts on the greens this weekend. Scottie Scheffler has played in 11 total PGA Tour events this season and has won two of them.
Scheffler is now in second in the FedEx world rankings this week, as he has a total of 1,844 points. Scheffler just finished the Masters on a strong finish as he carded a total of three under the last two rounds.
The RBC Heritage odds have Scheffler as the favorite for the tournament, with the odds being set at +850. For our golf bets today, this is a great choice, as Scheffler is one of the best players in 2023.
Speith trying to start early this week in RBC Heritage
You would have never thought someone would be able to stay even through the first three rounds of the Masters. Speith did just that, and then on Sunday, he was able to card at 66 and finished tied for fourth.
In Speith’s last three events that he has played in, he has been able to get two top-five finishes. Speith is still looking for his first win in the 2023 season, and I think the RBC Heritage could be the tournament that he wins.
The RBC Heritage is where Speith beat out Cantlay in a playoff to win the tournament last year. This is the tournament for Speith, as he is coming off a huge weekend at the Masters. The RBC Heritage odds for Speith are listed at +2000, which I think is pretty high for Speith.
This is a great bet in golf this week. One of my golf predictions this week is for Speith to shoot 12 to 13 under this week, as the last round of the Masters was a big push for him.
