If one word could describe the Circuit de Monaco, it’s “legendary.”
The Monaco Grand Prix is considered one of the crown jewels of motorsports. The Circuit de Monaco has hosted 79 F1 Grand Prix with racing royalty listed among the names that have conquered the Montegasqe streets.
However, Formula E takes over the principalities streets, bringing all-electric racing to a legendary and long-standing home of motorsports. We’ll preview this weekend’s race and give you our pick to win in our Monaco E-Prix betting preview.

2023 Formula E Monaco E-Prix Circuit Breakdown
While the Circuit configuration has changed throughout Monaco’s 70+ years of racing, the Monaco E-Prix is the same circuit where Ayrton Senna had won six times and the same layout utilized by Formula 1.
One lap around the Circuit de Monaco is 19 turns through 3.337 kilometers (2.047 miles) of Montegasqe streets. Much like old-school racing circuits across the world, Circuit de Monaco has named corners, each with its unique legacies.
The short dash from the start-finish straight to the right-hand turn known as Sainte Devote (turn 1) has seen many incidents and lockups and has been a pinch point where Grand Prix has been won and lost. Whether it’s the Massenet-Casino Square-Mirabeau section leading to the Grand Hotel hairpin and tunnel or the tricky pool section that leads to La Rascasse, the scenes will be familiar, and the drivers will have to be at their best to tackle the technical nature of Circuit de Monaco.
