Season So Far
It promises to be a fascinating end to the season, with just five rounds remaining. It is a close battle for the championship lead in Formula E, with just six points separating Nick Cassidy in third and Pascal Wehrlein at the top of the standings. The previous round looked to be an intriguing one in the battle for the title, with Wehrlein claiming victory in the first of two races in Jakarta.
However, Jake Dennis closed the gap at the top of the standings to just one point after landing the Fastest Lap in the second race at the same location. But the German leader has won three races this season, compared to the one win registered by Jake Dennis.
Interestingly, Cassidy has previous experience racing in the U.S., as the Australian landed victory in one of the two races staged in New York last year. A victory this weekend would see him move to within striking distance at the top of the standings with just a few races remaining on the Formula E schedule.
Who will win the Portland E-Prix?
It should be a thrilling evening of racing action in Portland, and there is little to separate the four drivers at the top of the standings. Wehrlein will need to bounce back after finishing sixth in his previous start, and he could be vulnerable in the Portland E-Prix betting to the extremely consistent Jake Dennis.
The Brit has finished second in three of the previous four races and has finished on the podium in seven of the eleven races already this term.
Therefore, we could see the race in Portland having a key role in the battle for the championship, with Dennis landing victory to move to the top of the Drivers’ Championship standings.
