Rockets at Clippers Betting Analysis
Houston Rockets Betting Analysis
For as bad as the Rockets have been this season, they almost pulled off the huge upset in Phoenix on Wednesday. A big reason for that was the fact that Chris Paul got ejected in the third quarter, but Houston still played a good game considering the year they have had up to this point.
Newly acquired point guard Dennis Schroder led the way for Houston with 23 points and nine assists, while Jae’Sean Tate added 22 points and ten rebounds. Eric Gordon also contributed 20 points, and Alperen Sengun scored 19 points and had 14 rebounds.
It was one of the best overall team efforts that Houston has displayed this year. Their effort might have led to victory over almost any other team. But the Suns are the NBA’s best team for a reason, and they just did enough to win.
But the Rockets certainly covered the massive spread in the game. Bettors who selected Houston with their spread selections enjoyed a tremendous profit.
The Rockets will look to upset the odds once again and perhaps pull out a victory as well in L.A. on Thursday.
Los Angeles Clippers Betting Analysis
The Clippers dropped a competitive game against the Suns on Tuesday. But they also were able to cover a rather large spread against Phoenix.
Marcus Morris Sr. was Los Angeles’s leading scorer with 23 points to his credit. Nicolas Batum chipped in 17 points and seven rebounds, while Reggie Jackson scored 14 and added eight assists. Ivica Zubac was also productive with 12 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists.
But the Clippers’ strong effort was thwarted by the red hot Suns.
Despite the Clippers’ recent streak of underwhelming play, they currently place eighth in the Western Conference standings. They have been able to continuously tread water without Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, which has been impressive, to say the least.
They will look to end their first half on a high note with a home victory over the lowly Rockets in this affair.
Team Updates
Clippers’ trade deadline acquisition Norman Powell was diagnosed with a broken foot on Sunday. Powell was one of the most notable players traded at the deadline, and this is just another injury in what truly has been an injury-plagued season in Los Angeles. Terrance Mann is expected to see the majority of minutes in Powell’s place moving forward.
- Los Angeles is 29-31 ATS this season.
- Houston is 23-333-1 ATS this year.
- The Rockets are 15-25-1 ATS following a loss.
- The Clippers are 14-16 ATS when playing after a loss.
- Los Angeles is 13-17 ATS at their home arena.
- Houston is 15-15-1 ATS on the road.
- The Clippers are 12-17 ATS as a favorite.
- The Rockets are 20-31-1 ATS as an underdog.
Rockets at Clippers Betting Preview
The Clippers should be able to take care of business at home. Although Houston impressed on Wednesday with their near-upset in Phoenix, the fact is that the Clippers are a far better team than the Rockets, and betting against them would not be the best idea.
Could the Rockets upset the spread? It is possible, but I would still roll with the Clippers.

Bet on the Los Angeles Clippers.
Rockets and Clippers Prediction
The majority of top sportsbooks have the Clippers favored by 10 to 12 points. Although it is a lofty spread, Los Angeles should be able to get the job done on Thursday.
