The Golden State Warriors (24-6) host the Sacramento Kings (13-18) on Monday night at Chase Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 P.M. PST.
The Warriors recently concluded a grueling road trip that saw them finish 3-2, including a loss in their last game against the Toronto Raptors. However, the Warriors opted not to play a number of their stars in that contest, such as Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, for rest-related reasons.
The Kings overcame having six players in health and safety protocols to defeat the San Antonio Spurs at home on Sunday.
These two Western Conference opponents are set to battle on Monday night on the west coast.
Kings at Warriors Betting Analysis
On the Kings side
The Kings have a number of players in covid health and safety protocols, including; De’Aaron Fox, Marvin Bagley III, Terrence Davis, Davion Mitchell, and others. Defeating the Warriors will prove to be extremely challenging, especially without Fox.
However, there is no timetable for any of these players. So although unlikely, it is possible that Fox is removed from this list tomorrow, such as Russell Westbrook was for the Lakers on Friday.
Fox’s value to the team is immense. He is the team leader in points per game with a mark of 21.3. He also is averaging five assists and 3.7 rebounds per game.
Tyrese Haliburton will see his role increase if Fox is indeed unable to play on Monday. Halliburton has averaged 12.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and six assists per game so far in 2021.
Sacramento is surprisingly tied with Golden State for points per game, as both teams are ranked fourth with 111. The Kings are right in the middle of the pack in terms of field goal percentage and rebounds per game.
The Kings are not a great team by any means. But they have the potential to sneak into the playoffs as a lower seed.
On the Warriors side
Andrew Wiggins is the most notable Warrior currently in health and safety protocols.
But Steph Curry and Draymond Green should be ready to roll after getting extra rest after not playing in the recent loss against Toronto.
Curry is having a fantastic season with his 27 points per game and 6.1 assists per contest. Green is the team leader in assists with 7.3, and he also is averaging 8.2 points and 7.9 rebounds on the season.
The Warriors’ ball movement is nothing short of extraordinary, which is a major reason why they lead the NBA in assists per game heading into Monday. They also rank third in rebounds per game, second in steals per game, and third in field goal percentage.
The Warriors should be in line for another impressive effort against Sacramento at home with their stars rested and ready to go.
Kings at Warriors Prediction
The Warriors are fairly heavy favorites according to the majority of top sportsbooks in this one. This is to be expected given the King’s current state of health and safety protocols.
