The one guy that I’m going to be looking for in this game is undoubtedly going to be Brandon Slater. Although the senior forward out of Virginia is averaging just over 11 points, five rebounds, and shooting just 43.3% from the field, it’s what he’s going to have to do on the defensive side of the basketball that’s going to be the reason why Villanova has a chance in this game. UConn has some of the top scorers in America, and that’s highlighted by Jordan Hawkins.
If Jordan Hawkins can come out and continue doing what he’s done by averaging 14.3 points this season as a guard out of Maryland, Villanova will have a tough time getting stops on this young man.
