NC State WolfPack vs. Virginia Cavaliers Betting Preview
It’s the start of the Atlantic Coast Conference season, and many predicted that the WolfPack had a chance to take down the conference.
They will have quite a tough test, as Duke, Florida State, Miami, and North Carolina have shown to be pretty talented. In fact, there are seven teams in the conference with 3-0 records.
Barring any late additions to the Virginia Cavaliers injury report, this game is the return of Brennan Armstrong to Virginia. The former Cavaliers signal caller will play against his former teammates. Last week, he pulled up 303 yards of total offense in the blowout win over VMI.
Armstrong, on the season, has 679 yards of passing and an additional 161 yards on the ground, with a combined six touchdowns. Kevin Concepcion is the top receiver for the WolfPack but has yet to get into the end zone.
Virginia’s Quest for a Turnaround Begins
Whatever could go wrong has gone wrong for the Virginia Cavaliers. The Cavaliers jumped out to a 14-0 lead last week against Maryland, only to see them give up 42 straight. They will certainly be motivated to take down their former teammate and transfer.
Looking at their college football players, the offense has been stuck in mud most of the season, scoring just 20.7 points per game. Much of that is due to their inability to run the ball. The Cavaliers have just 68 rushing yards per game.
Perris Jones is supposed to be the top running back for Virginia, but he has yet to reach 100 yards on the season. He does have two rushing touchdowns. The Cavaliers will play at Boston College next week before hosting William and Mary on October 7th.
NC State WolfPack vs. Virginia Cavaliers Betting Prediction
The North Carolina State WolfPack are now a high-powered offense. They do not get the ball and rush down the field to score. But Virginia is just not very good at all. Offensively or defensively.
Barring any additions or changes to the college football injury report, the WolfPack will take the lead early and slowly extend it, winning this game by two touchdowns.
- When finishing your NC State vs Virginia betting analysis: Take the North Carolina State WolfPack -9.5 over the Virginia Cavaliers on Friday night.
