On the 18th of March 1900, AFC Ajax was created in Amsterdam, and for almost 11 years, the team had to rise before getting to the highest level in 1911. Ajax would go on to become one of the best teams in the league. They started their history playing at the Het Houten Stadion before moving to the Johan Cruyff Arena in 1996.
