Team History

Often referred to simply as LAFC, Los Angeles FC betting was founded in October 2014 but didn’t begin to play until the 2018 MLS schedule season. Owned by Brandon Beck, Bennett Rosenthal, and Larry Berg, Los Angeles FC stats has a natural rivalry with founding MLS standings member the LA Galaxy (known among supporters of both clubs as El Trafico) and has been a relatively successful club through its first five years of existence.

Los Angeles FC stats was founded to replace Chivas USA, which operated in the same region and played in MLS odds from 2005 to 2014. LAFC signed its first player, Mexican forward Carlos Vela, on August 11, 2017. It won the first game in which it played, scoring a 1-0 victory over the Seattle Sounders FC on March 4, 2018.

Since then, LAFC has won the Supporters’ Shield in 2019. Its individual players have also had success. Carlos Vela won both the MLS Golden Boot and Landon Donovan MVP Award in 2019, while Diego Rossi won the MLS Golden Boot in 2020.

Historical Events

The club’s first MLS betting stats victory on March 4, 2018, is among the biggest moments in club history, although LAFC did win the Supporters’ Shield in 2019. In its first year, LAFC broke the record for most points by an expansion team with 57 – the previous record was set by the 1998 Chicago Fire, which had 55 points.

LAFC became only the third MLS team to reach the final of the CONCACAF Champions League when, in 2020, it defeated Cruz Azul and Club America en route to the final, where it lost 2-1 to Tigres UANL.

Championship Won by the Team

While LAFC has yet to win the MLS odds title, it did finish first in the regular season in 2019. The club reached the semifinals in the MLS Cup Playoffs and quarterfinals in the US Open Cup that season.

LAFC’s first two seasons have undoubtedly been their best. The club finished 12th and 17th in MLS standings in 2020 and 2021, respectively.

Since they’ve only been in the MLS schedule for four full seasons, LAFC doesn’t have a long history of successful coaches. Bob Bradley, its first coach, led the club to top-five finishes in its first two seasons as well as a Supporters’ Shield in 2019.

Steve Cherundolo was appointed the second coach in club history on January 3, 2022.
