The Butler Bulldogs take on the Tennessee Volunteers on Wednesday night for what should be one of the best NCAA basketball games today.
Butler Bulldogs is typically one of the better programs in all of America, while Tennessee is currently the #22 ranked team in college basketball.
Because of that, it should be an exciting contest. If both teams came out and continued doing what they’ve been able to do throughout the past few seasons, this game could go either way.
Although the start of the season for Butler hasn’t necessarily gone the way they were hoping for, as they already have a loss, this team is still 3-1 and is looking to improve day in and day out.

When looking at the Butler Bulldogs prediction, many believe that this is going to be one of the better teams in the country this season if they can continue playing as they have throughout the first few games of the season.
Tennessee is also expected to be one of the country’s best teams this season, but they’ll have to continue playing well if they want to prove to people that they can be the team they want to be.
Last Game Record for Butler Bulldogs vs. Tennessee Volunteers
Butler Last Game Record
Butler is going to be coming into this game after an impressive win over the Citadel.
They ended up winning this game by 45 points and showed what they could do on the offensive side of the basketball when it matters most.
When thinking about success in college basketball, it’s typically going to start on that side of the basketball.
Teams typically play defense better than offense in college, so things should work out if your offense is good to go.
They’re one of the more pesky NCAA basketball teams in the country and have to continue doing that if they want to be the team they’re hoping to be.
Tennessee Last Game Record
Tennessee has also enjoyed success after an impressive win against Florida Gulf Coast and is in the top 25 of the college basketball standings.
Butler Bulldogs vs. Tennessee Volunteers Analysis
This will likely be one of the tougher games on both teams’ NCAAB schedules to start the season, making for an exciting contest.
Butler Betting Analysis
The one thing that I’ve been impressed with about Butler is their ability to score the basketball. They come into this game after an 89-42 game against a Citadel team that is above average.
One guy that I’m going to be looking for in this game is Eric Hunt Jr. He managed to have 15 points in his most recent game.
Butler’s Defense
In the Big Ten, he was an all-defensive team selection and should continue finding that type of success in the Big East this season.
On top of what he’s been able to do on the defensive side of the basketball throughout his career in college, perhaps his offensive game is taking a major step forward, and that’s going to be huge for Butler this season.
Butler is going to need to find a way to get guys going on the offensive side of the basketball, and he can be the perfect answer for them.
Best NCAAB Players
Whenever you’re playing a team like Tennessee, their best college basketball players have to step up, and this is going to be one of those cases.
At the moment, the college basketball injury report is clean for both sides, so we should see some stars going at it, leading to an exciting contest.
Our Butler vs Tennessee bet has to remember what Tennessee is going to do this season.
Although they did lose their second game of the year and are 2-1 on the year, they’ve managed to win two games by a blowout and looked impressive in both of those.
With an 81-50 win against Florida Gulf Coast and a 75-43 win against Tennessee Tech, Tennessee deserves some love here.
Their loss against Colorado was certainly disappointing, but their offense wasn’t able to get anything going, and that’s typically not something that we say about a Tennessee Volunteers basketball team.
Similar to Butler, there are guys that I’m looking forward to stepping up in this game. The one I’m looking for is Josiah-Jordan James.
He comes into this game after an impressive 18-point and six-rebound performance in just 25 minutes against Florida Gulf Coast.
On top of that, he’s averaging nearly 14 points per game and shooting 52% from the field. He’s proven that he can put up numbers at a high level throughout the first few games of the season, and I expect that to continue against a Butler team that can be an elite defensive squad.
He was named an SEC All-Tournament team member a season ago and will look to continue dominating just as he has throughout his long college career.

Butler Bulldogs vs. Tennessee Volunteers Betting Pick and Prediction
There are two bets that I’m going to take for this game, and the first one is going to be Butler + 7.5 against Tennessee.
I believe that this is the perfect opportunity for them to cover, and getting 7.5 points with the way they’ve played to start the season is somewhat questionable to me.
Although I do think Tennessee should be favored, this is a good time for Butler to even possibly win this game outright.
Our second favorite bet in this game is going to be taking the moneyline for Butler as + 275, as that’s way too good of odds to pass up on.
