Stampeders at Tiger-Cats Betting Analysis
Stampeders Content
This Stampeders team looked electric last week. After beating a very competitive Alouettes team, the game was not as close as the box score says it was.
Former NFL star Ka’Deem Carey continues his reign of terror over the CFL. Last week, he had 90 yards and 2 scores. WR Richie Sidani had a phenomenal opener with nine targets, seven catches, and over 100 receiving yards. Anyone can break out on this offense.
The Stampeders had a solid week defensively as well. They forced two interceptions and three sacks. They were unable to stop Montreal from scoring as they allowed three touchdowns last week. If they can ramp up the pressure, this team could be tough to stop Saturday night.
The biggest question for Calgary heading into this week 2 matchup is can the quarterback play take a leap? Bo Levi Mitchell has been steadily declining yet he has a ton of weapons around him. He needs to succeed so everyone else can. In the unlikely event he is not playing, Jake Maier will need to do a better job than last season when he struggled in that spot.
Tiger-Cats Content
After losing in the Grey Cup two straight years, you would expect some fight from this roster. It seemed last week it was anything but.
Dane Evans did in fact have a solid outing. With his two interceptions aside, he tossed one touchdown and over 200 yards. The rest of the offense was asleep. They were held to under 30 total rush yards along with no receiver hitting over 80 yards in the game.
The issue for Hamilton last week was their defense. They forced no turnovers last game. Not to mention they had zero sacks. They let Fajardo run wild with no sense of urgency to stop him. This defense needs to get the wheels rolling on this defense because this will be yet another long week if they do not.
The question for Hamilton this week is regarding if they can provide some source of pressure on the opposing team. The offense and defense left a sour taste in the mouths of Ti-Cat nation last week. It left them wanting more and Dane Evans needs to show up in a big way this week. The defense needs to put in some more effort and add more pressure on opposing teams.

Stampeders at Tiger-Cats Betting Preview
This game promises to be a good one. Both of these teams are competitive and are in need of a win. However, your CFL picks will come down to QB play. Bo Levi Mitchell and Dane Evans will be in a shootout in order to decide this game.
The spread for this game is 2.5 in favor of Hamilton and the point total is 46.5 so it promises to be a close high scoring affair. These defenses love to give up points and yards so it is likely it will hold true for this game.
Stampeders at Tiger-Cats Betting Prediction
There is no reason to risk your money on Hamilton covering when betting on CFL action. It’s a long season and they look out of tune. Calgary has playmakers and this unit is a well-oiled machine. Calgary has the ability to run away with this matchup
However, be wary of the injury to Bo Levi Mitchell. If he does not play, you may perhaps want to rethink your bet on the match. Regardless, the upside for the Stampeders is exponentially better.
I believe Bo Levi Mitchell and the Stampeders roster will prevail as the underdog covering the +2.5 spread.
