It has been a big week in cycling news as the 2023 Tour de France carries on into the third week of action. Stage 10 was underway on Tuesday morning following a day of rest on Monday. Canadian Michael Woods, an unlikely cycling betting pick in most of the Tour de France stage 11 predictions, claimed his maiden victory in Stage 9, while two-time winner Tadej Pogacar cut into defending champion Jonas Vingegaard’s lead.
Both Vingegaard and Pogacar were among the riders in the yellow jersey group leading the pack in Stage 10 as of the time of this writing and had the shortest odds to win the Tour de France predictions.
Let’s take a look at the standings through nine stages and review the upcoming Tour de France Stage 11 predictions.

Stage 11 Route
It’s certainly helpful to know the route if you’re making Tour de France Stage 11 predictions. After Tuesday’s hilly Stage 10, which ran from Vulcania to Issoire, riders will take to the relatively flat road in Stage 11, racing 179.8 kilometers from Clermont-Ferrand to Moulins. The route does feature some rolling hills in the first half but is mostly flat terrain in the home stretch.
In the first 60 kilometers of the route, riders face a pair of minor climbs, the first of which is the Côte de Chaptuzat, which is a 5 percent climb of 1.9 kilometers. The second climb of the Tour de France, Côte de Mercurol, runs 2.9 kilometers at 4.9 percent. Expect a sprint to the finish with the final 1.3 kilometers being about as straight as possible.
Gear up for Tour de France Stage 11: Watch the thrilling race live and catch the time bonuses!
The first-place finisher receives a time bonus of 10 seconds, while the second-and third-place riders receive a six and four-second time bonus, respectively. Søren Kragh Andersen won the last Tour de France Stage 11 predictions at Clermont-Ferrand in 2021.
Stage 11 begins on Wednesday at around 7:05 a.m. ET and is expected to take about four hours to complete. You can watch on Peacock or the USA Network in the US or ITVX/S4C in the UK. Fans in Australia can see all the action on SBS On Demand.
Tour de France Stage 11 Predictions
Jasper Philipsen is one of the favorites to win the Tour de France Stage 11. The talented Danish rider won each of the first three bunch sprints and Stage 11 is built for sprinters. Expect him and other fast riders to have their way with the route for Stage 11. Mads Pedersen, who won the uphill sprint in Stage 8, is another rider to keep an eye on for Tour de France cycling picks.
While it’s a two-horse race between Pogacar and Vingegaard for the overall winner, it’s a lot tougher to predict the individual stage winners. Philipsen is perhaps the best bet, but Wout van Aert, one of the favorites to win Stage 10, is another decent option.
Odds have yet to be released for Stage 11, but Philipsen should be among those with the shortest cycling odds. I’d feel comfortable taking him to record the quickest finish time.
