Looking at some of the entertainment odds is a lot of fun to wager on as you are predicting what the next big franchises are going to look like and take form.
We have one today that has been the talk of the town as we are going to dive into the next James Bond odds once Daniel Craig wraps it up.
There are a bunch of interesting candidates, but we are going to dive into a few of them and discuss who we believe will be the next 007.
Top Contenders for Next James Bond
Tom Hardy
Let’s start with one of the greatest actors of our generation as it was reported back in 2020 that he was already cast in the role of Bond for the release of No Time To Die, but obviously, that did not happen.
People that enjoy betting on entertainment saw that and immediately began to put money on him to land the role, as typically when there is smoke, there is fire.
Hardy is definitely a box office attraction that the new Bond will need to be and has shown the ability to play a Bond-like character in Inception.
He has the acting chops to nail the scenes and the box office name to attract viewers to the movie so it makes a lot of sense here.

Idris Elba
Idris Elba has been one of the names that always has been thrown around to be the next James Bond, and it makes a lot of sense.
The producer of the franchise, Barbara Broccoli, has stated that Elba is “part of the conversation” for the role of Bond, and that is the first time she has said that publicly.
Elba has shown his way to steal the scenes he is in throughout watching The Wire and Luther, and his magnetic personality and attractiveness fits the Bond role to a tee. There is a reason he is one of the favorites in the next James Bond odds.

Jamie Dornan
While people have seen all different sides of his acting career, such as Christian Grey in 50 Shades of Grey and as serial killer Peter Spector in The Fall, he has shown to have the range.
The idea of James Bond is to be considered a stud on the screen, and it is hard to argue that Dornan is not one of the most attractive men in all of Hollywood as Vogue named him as one of the 25 biggest male models of all time.
I do not see people linking him as just Christian Grey in this role as he has shown to do other things exceptionally well and make people drawn to the screen with how he commands respect in a scene as well.

A Conclusion for Potential Candidates
After diving into the next James Bond odds and looking at the potential candidates, one name has jumped to the forefront of my mind, and that is Tom Hardy.
I believe the rumors of him becoming the next James Bond are legitimate, and that is where the franchise is going to go.
In order to explain why it should be Hardy, let’s talk about why both Idris Elba and Jamie Dornan are not going to get the role.
Elba’s Age
Elba is 49 years of age, which means he is just four years younger than Daniel Craig is currently. It also sounds like he is not dying for the role as much as people expect him to be as he said on a podcast, “It’s not a question of, should I, do I, will I, … It is what the will of the nation dictates sometimes” and I interpret that as him not being extremely interested with the role itself.
Then we have Dornan, who, like it or not, the character of Christian Grey was a huge success, and it is difficult for a large percentage of moviegoers not to see him as anything but the Hollywood blockbuster star that he was in a BDSM film.
There is a reason why stars who take on major roles typically do not do anything else of that nature for another franchise, and that seems to be the downfall for Dornan here.
