The Los Angeles Clippers (18-17) and Toronto Raptors (14-17) will go head-to-head on Friday night in Toronto at the Scotiabank Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 P.M. EST.
The Clippers are coming off of a 91-82 victory over the Boston Celtics on Wednesday. Los Angeles currently places sixth in the Western Conference.
The Raptors have dropped two games in a row and will look to bounce back at home against the Clippers. Toronto last played on Tuesday, where they were defeated by the Philadelphia 76ers.
Clippers at Raptors Betting Analysis
On the Los Angeles Clippers side
The Clippers continue to tread water despite being without Paul George and Kawhi Leonard for the foreseeable future. With both superstars sidelined due to injury, the Clippers have seen different players step up and help carry the team.
In Wednesday’s win over Boston, Marcus Morris had an outstanding game with a team-leading 23 points to go along with ten rebounds. Terrance Mann, Luke Kennard, and Eric Bledsoe all added exactly 17 points as well. Los Angeles benefitted from a complete team effort in the victory.
However, they will need everybody on this roster to keep posting impressive stat lines moving forward. They don’t have one main scoring option, so the Clippers will need to implement a team brand of basketball.
It should be noted that the Clippers were without Reggie Jackson and Nicholas Batum in that game. The return of those two players will make a difference as well.
On the Toronto Raptors side
Even with a number of excellent individual performances on Tuesday, Toronto fell short against the 76ers. Chris Boucher posted one of the more jaw-dropping double-doubles of the season with 28 points and 19 rebounds. Meanwhile, Pascal Siakam added 28 points, eight assists, and six rebounds.
Toronto is three games under .500 in the East and have endured an underwhelming 2021-2022 campaign up to this point. But the Raptors have enough pieces to compete in the majority of games.
Siakam and Boucher are both talented, and the Raptors also have players such as Fred VanVleet and OG Anunoby, who were both in health and safety protocols for Tuesday’s game. However, both VanVleet and Anunoby are expected to return to action on Friday night.
The Raptors are an interesting team. They rank 20th in points per game, while the Clippers rank just 24th.
They also are 18th in rebounds per contest, and Los Angeles is 20th. Toronto could certainly be in line for a victory at home against this injury-riddled Clippers squad.
