Mavericks Betting Analysis
The Mavericks dropped a heartbreaking 99-97 contest against the Clippers on Sunday in Dallas. They entered the game as the favorite but were unable to cover and ultimately dropped the game as well.
But it is safe to say that the loss could not be blamed on Luka Doncic. The Mavs superstar scored 45 points to go along with 15 rebounds and eight assists. Jalen Brunson also helped matters by scoring 22 points.
But the Mavericks simply could not pull out the victory. The Clippers outshot Dallas from the field en route to a 52.4 field goal percentage compared to just 41.2 percent for the Mavericks. And that truly was the difference in the game.
Dallas took more shots in the matchup, but Los Angeles made each of their shots count. Their efficient night led to the two-point victory.
The Mavericks have still played well as of late and are right in the thick of the Western Conference standings.
Heat Betting Analysis
The Heat took care of the Nets in Miami over the weekend by a final score of 115-111. However, the majority of top sportsbooks had Miami listed anywhere from a 10 to 12 point favorite. So although they earned the straight-up win, they were unable to cover.
The Heat did a nice job of sharing the ball in the victory. Nobody scored more than 19 points, but seven different players reached double figures in the scoring department. Bam Adebayo led the charge with 19 points and 14 rebounds.
They ultimately shot an exact 50 percent from the field, which made up for their 15 turnovers. The Heat also helped an 11 total rebound advantage over the Nets, which was pivotal in earning the win.
Miami currently holds a half-game lead over the Bulls in the East. They would love nothing more than to enter the all-star break as the number one seed in the conference, so we should expect Miami to do everything in their power to win their next couple of games.
Team Updates
Miami’s Tyler Herro has been ruled out for Monday’s matchup due to a right knee ailment. Herro appeared to be fine in Saturday’s contest but was deemed inactive a full 24 hours before Tuesday’s game, so there may be a reason for concern. But the Heat also may just be playing it safe with Herro.
- Dallas is 30-26-1 ATS this season.
- Miami is 33-24 ATS this year.
- The Heat are 14-11 ATS at their home arena.
- The Mavericks are 14-12 ATS on the road.
- Miami is 20-19 ATS as a favorite.
- Dallas is 18-14-1 ATS as an underdog.
- The Heat are 10-11 ATS as a home favorite.
- The Mavericks are 7-7 ATS as a road underdog.
Mavericks at Heat Betting Preview
The Heat enter play as narrow favorites at home. They will be without Herro, but their depth and star power will make up for his absence. They are also owners of the third-best home record in the NBA with a mark of 19-6.
Meanwhile, Dallas is 13-13 on the road this year. Although Luka Doncic is more than capable of single-handedly leading the Mavs to victory on any given night, the Heat should be able to cover the spread and win this game.

Bet on the Miami Heat.
Dallas Mavericks at Miami Heat Prediction
Miami is listed as anywhere from a 1.5 to 3 point favorite according to most top sportsbooks. This is certainly a thin margin for error, but I am inclined to trust the Heat at their home arena. Go ahead and roll with Miami with your moneyline and spread selections.
