The Denver Nuggets certainly don’t have their squad that won the NBA Title in June. But, they are getting plenty of valuable experiences for some of their young guys, and figuring out if any of them can stick with the roster.
On Friday, the Nuggets lost 92-85 to the Milwaukee Bucks. In that loss, the Nuggets saw Peyton Watson put together a solid game. Watson played in more than 30 minutes and scored 23 points. Hunter Tyson was also solid in the game, as he scored 21 points, and ripped down 5 rebounds. Jalen Pickett was also strong with 12 points.
In Game 2 – the Nuggets fell 98-93 to the Atlanta Hawks. This game was played at the Cox Pavilion, where Wednesday’s game will be played. In Game Two – the Nuggets saw five guys score double figures. When looking at NBA Stats from the summer – Jalen Pickett, Collin Gillespie, and Hunter Tyson all scored 16, while Peyton Watson added 15, and Cassius Stanley added 10. The Nuggets also got five assists from Pickett in the loss. Denver was 12 of 29 from three-point range.
