Suns vs. Heat Betting Preview
Miami Heat
The Miami Heat got off to a quick Summer League start on Saturday, as they scored 28 points in the fourth quarter to beat the Boston Celtics. The Heat had one of the top performers during the opening weekend, with Orlando Robinson scoring 36 points. All five starters scored in double digits for the Heat in the win. Robinson also led the team with 11 rebounds.
The other starters in the win for the Heat were Nikola Jovic, the 27th pick overall in the draft a season ago, Drew Peterson out of USC, Jamal Cain, and Dru Smith. The first two off the bench, who combined for just a total of 6 points, were Taylor Funk out of Utah State and Patrick Gardner from Marist.
The Heat have a few guys that did not play or are listed on the Miami Heat NBA injury report. Those are as follows:
- Ja’von Franklin – from Auburn and Georgia Tech
- Jaime Jaquez Jr, from UCLA – 18th pick in the draft
- Trenton Massner – Western Illinois
- Justin Powell – from Washington State
- Jamaree Bouyea – out of the NBA G League
Phoenix Suns
The Phoenix Suns also played their first Summer League game of the season on Saturday. Looking at NBA stats, the Cox Pavilion in Vegas was not kind to the Suns, as they were outscored 44-25 in the second half and fell 84-75 to the Bucks. The Suns were led in scoring by Toumani Camara, who scored 20 points. The 23-year-old from Belgium is looking to get his crack with the team this summer.
Jordan Goodwin was second on the team with 12 points but made just 5 of 13 shots in 18 minutes played. Trey Jemison, out of UAB, and Gabe Brown from the G League scored 10 each in the game for the Suns.
Those Phoenix Suns injured players who did not play or just were not chosen to play in the game, including the following:
- Keanu Pinder – from Spain
- Jordan Usher – out of Turkey
- Eugene German – from China
- E Gordon – brother of Eric
- Hunter Hale – from Serbia
