The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have Sam Hartman. That’s a big deal for this team. Hartman has been tremendous as the signal caller for the Irish through the first two games.
The former Wake Forest quarterback has thrown for 445 yards and six touchdowns. His top target has been Jayden Thomas, who has eight receptions and a touchdown.
The biggest deal has been the Irish ability to play defense. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish stats have been amazing so far. The Irish have allowed just six points through two games.
Their 58-point average and 3-point defensive average are impressive to start the season. The Irish run game has been anchored by Audric Estime. Estime has 29 carries in 2023, with two touchdowns.
Notre Dame will play this game and then host Central Michigan next week. Following that, the big game between the Irish and Ohio State will take place in South Bend.
Looking at the college football players, the North Carolina Wolfpack are going to be familiar with Sam Hartman. The Wolfpack faced Hartman several times in his Wake Forest career. North Carolina State has a transfer at quarterback of their own. Brennan Amstrong, the former Virginia signal caller, is now under center for the Wolfpack.
