Equally impressive is that he has only been sacked seven times, speaking to both the level that the offensive line is playing at and the athleticism of Stroud to ditch out of broken plays.
The Buckeyes are hoping their beat-up running back room will be back and healthy this week after three of them ended up on the CFB injury report last week.
Maryland Terrapins Strengths and Weakness
Maryland is coming in off a 30-0 loss to Penn last week in their worst performance of the season yet. Though not boasting the best record, the Terrapins were consistently in close games, their losses being by only a possession. However, the past two weeks have been horrible for the Terrapins’ offense, who seem to be playing at a tortoise’s pace.
When looking at their CFB team stats, the defense is the strong side of this team, playing a bend but don’t break style of ball, in my opinion.
They have the 27th-best RedZone defense while having only the 93rd-best 3rd down defense. Taulia Tagovailoa will have to get his offense going this week if Maryland has any shot at this week after stumbling the past couple of weeks. Still, against that killer Ohio State defense, I wouldn’t be running to place a bet on the Maryland Terrapins football game today.

From the perspective of CFB Standings or ranking, they’re bowl eligible, and I expect them to get a fun matchup, maybe against the likes of a team like Kansas or Syracuse. Fans should remain optimistic about a bowl win, as the Terrapins’ record speaks more to the strength of the Big 10 rather than the strength of Maryland.

CJ Stroud is just playing at such a high level it feels impossible for anyone to stop them. I expect Maryland to get on the board early, as they’ll be heavily motivated after being shut out against Penn State. I think Ohio State will run away with it in the 2nd.
