Likely the best NCAAF matchups of the college football weekend are going to take place in this game as the Oregon Ducks are going to be traveling to Georgia to take on the Bulldogs. Check the Oregon vs Georgia Betting Predictions below.
Oregon is going to be coming into this one as the number 11 team in the country, while Georgia is fresh off another national championship and is currently ranked third in the nation.
NCAAF Performance Recap
This is one of those games where you truly never know what is going to happen. Both of these teams obviously have enough talent to beat each other, so it’s likely going to come down to who can get more done on the defensive side of the ball.
These are two of the most marquee programs in college football history, and this matchup should be one of the most exciting that we see not only in the first week of the season but all year. Both teams have two of the toughest NCAAF schedule.
Teams Previous Scoreboards
Unlike some other teams this season, Georgia and Oregon have yet to play so far. These teams have only met one time throughout their history, as Georgia won back in 1977, 27-16.
With our Ducks versus Bulldogs betting prediction, we have a great pick that we really like.
Oregon Ducks vs. Georgia Bulldogs Betting Analysis
Oregon is going to be coming into this one after an impressive season a year ago. They ended up finishing in the first place in the Pac-12 North after a 10-4 overall record and a 7-2 record in the conference.
Going 7-2 in the Pac-12 is nothing to slouch at. However, that ended in them losing the Alamo Bowl 47-32 against a tough Oregon team.
The University of Georgia, on the other hand, is going to be coming into this one after what was one of the most impressive college football seasons that we’ve seen in quite some time. They ended up winning the SEC East after going 14-1 overall and 8-0 in their conference.
Bulldogs Looking to Be Amazing Again
The reality of the situation for this Georgia Bulldogs team is that if they can continue being one of the best defensive teams in the country, just like they were a year ago, this team is going to be unstoppable.
When we say that this team was good defensively, we truly mean that they might honestly have been the best defensive college football team that we’ve ever seen.
Stetson Bennett is also looking to continue being an elite college quarterback after he finished with over 2,800 yards a season ago and also had the third-best QBR in college football.
Georgia did lose some of their key players on the defensive side of the ball, but just like every other powerhouse program in college football, they got guys to come in and also continue developing some of their younger guys, so there’s not much of a difference from what we saw a year ago.
Georgia’s run game is also expected to be somewhat better than it was a year ago, which is saying something.
Ducks Could Be Very Good Too
We’ve been hyping up the Georgia Bulldogs throughout this, but we also have to give some love to the Oregon Ducks.
What they were able to do a season ago was certainly impressive, and it has to be talked about. The reason why this team is going to continue being one of the best in the entire nation is that they have one of the best offenses in college football.
Last year, they allowed more than 29 points in each of their last four games, and that’s not going to find them the success that they’re looking for.
Oregon had points throughout the year where they were a top defensive team, but they weren’t able to put it together for a long stretch.
Expectations for Ducks
If Oregon Ducks is looking to be the team that they were hoping to be a season ago and be even better, just like many are predicting, they have to figure things out on that side of the ball.
The Pac-12 has been known throughout the past decade for having potent offenses, but either way, Oregon has to be better.
If they allow Georgia to get too comfortable on the offensive side of the ball, they can likely kiss this one goodbye.
NCAAF Injury Report
Arian Smith and Andrew Paul are going to be out for Georgia. Outside of that, it’s reported that they aren’t dealing with anything else too serious.
Ducks vs. Bulldogs Betting Preview
Georgia is going to be coming into this one as a huge favorite in this one. They’re going to be coming in at -17 on the spread and a -900 favorite on the money line.
Considering the type of year that Georgia just had, it certainly makes sense. However, because this line is what it is, we’re going to have to be smart with our Ducks vs. Bulldogs betting prediction.
Some betting trends to keep in mind for Ducks vs. Bulldogs betting prediction is that Oregon is 1-4 in their last five non-conference games against the spread, while Georgia is 4-1 against the spread in their previous five games against non-conference teams.
Ducks vs. Bulldogs Betting Prediction
We are now here with our ducks vs. Bulldogs betting prediction. The best play of the day here is going to be taking Georgia to win by -14.5 for – 150 odds with our NCAAF pick.
Although it is predicted that Georgia is going to continue having one of the best defenses in college football, Oregon could be a very good team offensively, and that’s something to look out for.
NCAAF Most Profitable Team for this Matchup
It’s also the first game of the season for two teams that are ranked in pretty much the top 10 in the entire country, and that’s always something that we have to value.
There’s a reason why Georgia is a 17-point favorite in this NCAAF odds, but instead of giving them all those points, let’s reduce this a little bit for some lower odds.
NCAAF Pick: Bulldogs +14.5 (-150)
