Tulsa at Cincinnati Betting Analysis
On the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes side
The Tulsa Golden Hurricane have been throwing the football pretty well to senior wide receiver Josh Johnson as he has 45 receptions for 600 yards (13.3 yards per catch) with three touchdowns this season. In his last game against the Navy Midshipmen, Johnson was quiet as he had a pair of catches on 18 yards (9.0 yards per reception).
Tulsa has been struggling defensively as they are allowing 30.9 points per game. In the previous game against the Navy Midshipmen, Tulsa gave up 20 points on 302 total yards of offense ( rushing).
If they can figure out how to get their defense off the field, it will do wonders for the Golden Hurricane against a top offense this week.
On the Cincinnati Bearcats side
Cincinnati loves to run the football with running back Jerome Ford in the backfield as he has 135 carries for 864 yards (6.4 yards per rush) with 14 rushing touchdowns as well as 13 receptions for 102 yards (7.8 yards per catch) with a touchdown.
In his last game against the Tulane Green Wave, Ford finished with 18 runs for 65 yards (3.6 yards per rush) with a touchdown on the ground and four catches for 42 yards (10.5 yards per reception) and a touchdown.
Cincinnati has been incredible on the defensive side of the field as they give up 14.3 points per game. In their previous game against the Tulane Green Wave, they allowed 12 points on 280 yards (93 passing, 187 rushing).
Tulane went 4-of-12 on third down and 2-of-4 on fourth down attempts. If they can defend a little better, they will be a solid program and climb back in the postseason.
Golden Hurricanes at Bearcats Prediction
The Cincinnati Bearcats have been one of the most potent offenses in the entire country as they are scoring 41.5 points per game in their last four games while the Tulsa Golden Hurricane are averaging 23.5 points in that same stretch.
However, Tulsa just lost to a team that only gained yardage from running the football against them so it will be interesting to see how their defense attempts to stop one of the best offensive teams currently in the nation.
This is a good reset of the mindset for the Cincinnati Bearcats as they won but fell a few spots in the AP Poll. However, the top sportsbooks currently have the Bearcats as a 22.5-point favorite.
The Golden Hurricane are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games, while the Bearcats are 4-1 against the spread in their last five home games. All in all, go with the Cincinnati Bearcats to cover the spread here and flex their muscles.
