In Week 3 of the National Football League – the Houston Texans are set to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in a battle of a pair of AFC South squads. The Houston Texans are one of nine teams in the NFL standings without a win through the first two games of the season. Texans vs. Jaguars Betting Analysis
The start of his career has been interesting for former Ohio State signal caller C.J. Stroud. While he has thrown for over 300 yards in each of his first two games, he has just two touchdown passes. Stroud has yet to throw an interception, but he has also taken 11 sacks on the season. Stroud has been rushing the ball on occasion, with seven carries for 21 yards on the season.
His top target has been Nico Collins. He has come up big for Houston with 13 receptions on 20 targets, 226 yards, and a touchdown. Collins has picked up 75 of his yards after the catch. On the ground, Dameon Pierce has rushed 26 times for 69 yards but has yet to get into the end zone in 2023.
Houston Texans games are going to be interesting to bet on until they find consistency from their squad when it comes to NFL Team Stats.
Jaguars’ Rollercoaster
For Jacksonville, after a great start in the opener, the dud came in Week Two with just 9 points at home against Kansas City. The Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence threw two touchdowns in the opener, but none in Game 2.
Calvin Ridley leads the team in receiving yards, but he was also slowed down in Game 2. He has 133, while Christian Kirk has 119, and Evan Engram has 106. The Jacksonville Jaguars stats on offense are pretty spread out, so it will be interesting to see who steps up as the season moves along.
Travis Etienne is the leading running back, with 30 carries through the first two games. Etienne has gotten into the end zone once this season as well. The Jaguars will not play another road game until Week 7, when they take on the New Orleans Saints on Thursday Night Football.
Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars Betting Picks
The Jacksonville Jaguars are the much better team here. It’s the second home game of the season, and we expect them to be much better here. We do not think that the Houston Texans defense is going to be up for the challenge to slow down a determined Jacksonville team.
- The Texans vs Jaguars picks & parlays for Sunday: Jacksonville Jaguars -9 over the Houston Texans in this game on Sunday.
