Getting Into the UFC Schedule

The UFC is a beast of its own as they do not have a set schedule with an offseason. Instead, they fight on an almost weekly basis with big UFC events happening throughout the year. They have been chugging along for quite some time now and have been able to host over 600 events in more than 28 different countries.

Brief Introduction to the UFC

The UFC is a juggernaut of elite MMA fighters that are competing against one another in different weight classes in an attempt to become the champion of that weight class. As of this writing there are 12 weight divisions in the company (eight for men and four for women).

History of UFC Schedule

The UFC has steadily increased the number of events they have hosted throughout the year since its inception back in 1993. They seemed to get more popular beginning in 2005 when they were able to hold 10 events for the first time in their history and climbed all the way up to 46 events during the 2014 calendar year. They have steadily hovered around 40 events per year since reaching that marker.

Main Events on UFC Schedule

One of the best things about UFC is that they are able to have incredible mainstream hype surrounding their biggest fights. They also are not afraid to have the biggest and brightest stars fight against each other.

One example of this was Connor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov as two stars with a lot of fanfare around them. The UFC typically has an incredible main event scene for their typical shows while showcasing talent in their Fight Nights and other UFC events throughout the year.

UFC Main Venues

The UFC typically varies their locations as they are a global sport but they do run mainly out of Las Vegas, Nevada the most. Each of their top five most-visited venues are all inside of Sin City, but they have shown no issue to traveling across the globe to give their fans the ability to go to a UFC event close to their homes.

After Covid-19 Details

UFC was one of the first sporting events that attempted to go right back to filling their arenas after the Covid-19 pandemic. During the pandemic, they hosted international fights on “Fight Island” while most domestic fights would happen. They still use it today for events as a home base in Las Vegas, but are traveling across the world for fights as well.

UFC Schedules FAQs

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is in a unique situation that they do not have a traditional schedule like other sports leagues. Instead, they are fighting all year and typically have 40-45 events per calendar year so the UFC Schedule is all year long.

Yes they do! They partnered with DraftKings to show the odds entering a fight both on the broadcast and their website. This gives you the opportunity to be involved with UFC Sports betting and UFC betting guides are created to help improve your likelihood of winning.

They do a solid job of announcing fights almost four months in advance with fights being scheduled a few months before the event. Most fighters typically fight 2-3 times per year so they have time to prepare and recover from their previous fight.
