UFC FIGHT NIGHT GRASSO VS. ARAUJO PREVIEW

After UFC middleweights Sean Strickland and Jared Cannonier had to postpone their fight to later this year, UFC flyweights Alexa Grasso (14-3) and Viviane Araujo (11-3) found themselves in their first ever main event slot.

The October 15 event on the UFC schedule is set with these two women as the main event, along with great fights filling out the card like: Askar Askarov vs. Brandon Royval at flyweight, Cub Swanson makes his return against Jonathan Martinez, and even talks of Neil Magny fighting Daniel Rodriguez, which could have huge implications on UFC next events.

The main event is between two up-and-coming flyweight contenders with a lot to fight for. Alexa Grasso is on a 3-fight win streak where the Mexican fighter has dominated top fighters like Maycee Barber and even choked Joanne Wood in her last appearance in the octagon.

Viviane Araujo has only two losses in the UFC to two of the top fighters in the division, Katlyn Chookagian and Jessica Eye. Other than those two blemishes on her UFC record, she has looked very good during her time in the UFC so far.

How to bet:

UFC odds have Grasso as the betting favorite at -190 in the opening lines. Araujo is +154 as the underdog in the main event.

UFC fight stats suggest that bettors should focus on the moneyline in this main event. Both fighters are tough women, and Grasso hasn’t been finished in her career. They are both finding trouble with finishing fights in the UFC, so there is a good chance the fight will go to the scorecards on October 15.

UFC events are always a blast to bet on with fights like this, with such close betting lines to watch. This flyweight bout will be a high-level, technical fight for 25 minutes.
