The PUBG Mobile New Mexico Bowl is set as the UTEP Miners, and the Fresno State Bulldogs will battle it out on Saturday afternoon at University Stadium in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The Miners are 7-5 this year and are coming off a 42-25 road loss to the UAB Blazers. Sophomore quarterback Gavin Hardison went 21-of-34 for 204 yards with a touchdown and an interception.
The Bulldogs are 9-3 thus far and are riding a two-game winning streak after going on the road and beating the San Jose State Spartans 40-9. Senior quarterback Jake Haener finished 27-of-35 for 343 yards with four touchdowns.
UTEP at Fresno State Betting Analysis
On the UTEP Miners side
Sophomore wide receiver Jacob Cowing has been playing well this year for the UTEP Miners. He has recorded 67 catches for 1,330 yards (19.9 yards per reception) with seven touchdowns as well as three rushing attempts for 72 yards (24 yards per carry) with a rushing touchdown.
In his last game against UAB, Cowing finished with five receptions for 63 yards (12.6 yards per catch) and a receiving touchdown, and a nine-yard rushing attempt.
The UTEP Miners are a decent defensive program as they are allowing 24.8 points per game this season. In their previous game against the UAB Blazers, UTEP gave up 42 points on 303 total yards of offense (204 passing, 99 rushing).
The Blazers were 6-of-14 on third-down attempts and converted their only fourth-down try. UTEP struggled to get stops as they gave up 5.1 yards per pass and 5.4 yards per run.
On the Fresno State Bulldogs side
Senior running back Ronnie Rivers has been playing extremely well for the Fresno State Bulldogs this season. On the year, he has 161 carries for 788 yards (4.9 yards per rushing attempt) with five rushing touchdowns and 12 receptions for 150 yards (12.5 yards per catch) with an additional receiving touchdown.
In his last game against San Jose State, Rivers had 14 attempts for 65 yards (4.6 yards per carry) as well as five catches for 91 yards (18.2 yards per reception) with a receiving touchdown.
The Fresno State Bulldogs have been a solid defensive team this season as they are giving up 20.3 points per game. In their previous game against the San Jose State Spartans, Fresno State gave up nine points on 324 total yards of offense (250 passing, 64 rushing).
The Bulldogs were able to limit the opposing rushing game as they allowed the Spartans to average 2.6 yards per carry.

Haener has been stepping up late in the season as in his last two games has seven touchdowns without an interception, while Hardison has recorded four touchdowns to three interceptions in his last three games.
