The BC Lions are rolling in mighty hot with a four-game winning streak. They won in an instant classic of a game against division rival Calgary Stampeders.
In the final minutes of the game, the Lions emerged victorious 41-40, which was huge for the divisional standings. The Saskatchewan Roughriders finally snapped out of their slump with a victory last week.
The Roughriders took a nice win against the Edmonton Elks 34-23. With an easy win, this week poses a large problem, unlike last week.

BC Lions Analysis
Could this be the week the Lions come just that much closer to the top of the West? The Lions have the same amount of losses as the top team in the West. They have a bye, but there are ever so close to them!
Nathan Rourke had himself quite the performance last week. He threw for over 500 yards and accounted for two majors.
He still currently is leading the top offense in terms of yards and points in all of Canadian football. He is truly the king of the CFL as he sits atop all passing charts! This offense has been too good to be true!
BC Lions Defense
The defense, with the exception of last week, has been playing near the top of the CFL. They allow the least amount of yards and allow the second least amount of yards in the CFL.
Gary Peters has a piece of the INT leadership and is terrifying to opposing QBs. The question lies in this defense. Last week they allowed an unacceptable 40 points.
That has been considered rare this year, but it happened and is caused to be worried. Letting up 40 often does not lead to a win, so they need to bring that number down significantly.
Saskatchewan Roughriders
While the Roughriders may have been the best-kept secret in the West, now is the time to prove those ideals right! This could be a huge turning of the tides for the Roughriders and a much-needed one at that.
Running back Jammal Morrow has been unreal! He is currently second in the CFL in terms of rushing yards and has allowed the Rider to be the second-best rushing offense in Canadian football.
With the inconsistent yet stellar play of QB Cody Fajardo, he has truly opened up the play-action for the Roughriders.
Roughriders Defense
The defense has been monstrous. The Riders have two players with seven sacks which ties them for the lead.
This is not the team opposing QBs are looking to see on their CFL schedule! The average is nearly 3.6 per game! They are a hungry bunch.
The question is, how will this team battle adversity? They have struggled against the teams that are in the upper echelon of the CFL, and this is a must-win week. Their Grey Cup odds are relatively low, but this would be a huge booster!
